That's pretty interesting, actually. I never knew that.

  3. Belongs in the TKO6 Sticky thread IMO. Same conversation.

Harold Lederman used to be very good. Nowadays he's just a ******* who's riding the HBO hype train.

Evidently, they did take the advise. Joe Souza (RIP) was the cutman. Souza and Al Gavin were the best cut men period.

I remember Lederman saying the same thing in a Ricky Hatton fight.

Anything short of stitches wouldn't have prevented Tko 6.

I think the only thing that would prevented the TKO wouldve been a KO of Lewis.
Vitali knew that as well, which is why he threw defense out the window from 4-6.
And we've really gotta give Lewis his props too. He couldve gone defensive when he was hurt in the 3-6, but when he opened up the first cut, he targeted it and opened a few more and caused the massive swelling.

Interesting thought though, but like others have mentioned, didnt he have an american cutman for the fight anyway. :think

The only thing that would have prevented TKO6 would have been better defense by Vitali. He took too many point blank shots and he has fragile skin that busts open quickly.
