Kessler doesnt look the same to me. Hes lost a step and Magee is quite underrated i think. Kessler still should have too much but Brian has the style to make it awkward and win some rounds. I think he makes it close but loses on points. Thoughts?
He doesn't punch hard enough to knock Kessler out, so I think his chances are limited. Kessler should call it a day after this I think.
Tough fight for Brian, but hes super fit and motivated for this, not quite Kevin Mitchell fit and motivated but who is. A lot depends on what Kesslers got left, and MAgee will take advantage straight away if hes on the slide but its a tough ask. Some good action early on before Kessler starts timing his right hand, then a UD for Kessler because I dont think he has the punch variation to stop Magee. Good luck to Brian I hope hes getting well paid for this. Maybe a couple more money fights as the opponent in the States or DeGale on 5 and then call it quits on a career from a fighter as honest as they come.
Usual Magee fight against a world class fighter, will put up a decent test, may even win a few rounds before being stopped around the 9th or 10th round..
Yeah, this sounds about right. I'd just be happy if Brian nicks 2 or 3 rounds and lasts the full 12. Barring a freak cut, can't really see any way he can beat Kessler, unless the Dane has suffered some mega-slippage.
I've put a small bet on Magee. Kessler will probably be too much even if he isn't the fighter he used to be, but he's definitely looked on the slide since the Froch fight and the injury lay off. I wouldn't be massively surprised if he's beaten - Magee's his toughest test since coming back at least.
Probably seeing it through tinted glasses but Kessler is looking shot and Magee has been in real good form of late. I really fancy his body work to do some damage to Kessler who seems there to be beaten at the minute. Head over heart Kessler should have enough to win this clear maybe a late stoppage.
I think he's got a chance, He will prefer Kessler's style compared to Bute's and he's learnt from that night and built on it pretty well. I wouldn't write him off, He travels well and Kessler will need to be a damn sight better then he was against Green. I'd expect a Kessler win but if Magee won it wouldn't surprise me. A tidy southpaw who mixes his work up well.
