Yeah, Diaz might be more dangerous for submissions, but he isn't going to knock GSP senseless with one punch. Which I think GSP is afraid of, and he knows damned well that if Hendricks manages to land one clean on him then he's going to lose the belt right then and there. :good

Ever been the person (the most deserving one) next in line for a promotion, a significant one, yet someone leapfrogs you for what you rightfully deserve?

If yes, then you know how he feels.

If no... then you have no idea how gutted he feels.

Hendricks said that he will sit out if he doesn't get a shot. That's kinda crazy. He will be sidelined for a long time if he does that.

Fine, I take it back. I don't know why people think Hendricks deserves a shot.

i personally have them both in the top 4, so both are imo worthy of a title shot. I dont disagree with the fact, that hendricks is a place or 2 above diaz and as such deserves it a bit more.

Given what i´ve just stated, all this whining about this fight, seems to be somewhat over the top.

Highly disapointed with the UFC and many of these upcoming title shots. Sonnen vs Jones I wont even touch because that one actually pisses me off but here Diaz while I thought did beat Condit he still lost on the cards and had to serve a suspension while there has been a clear number 1 contender in Hendricks to emerge. Even Edgar-Aldo while its a sick fight why does Edgar get the title shot with no experience at 145 ? Korean Zombie, Koch etc are worthy.

With the exception of GSP nobody had beaten Fitch in forever. Jon Fitch was arguably #2 in the division for like 3 years and Hendrix KOOTN him in 12 seconds. Hendrix has 3 KOOTN in his last 5 fights. Both Kamppman and Koscheck are top-tier fighters and he beat those three back to back to back.

Diaz has done a lot too, for sure. His most recent fights haven't been as good though. He has a close loss and then wins over Penn and the best strikers in StrikeForce. With the exception of Penn, I wouldn't favor anyone Nick Diaz ever faced over Fitch and Kos.

I was being a smart ass. You would have to go back to the post where Bobdigi quoted me to fully get it.

A lot of people said that Diaz was the better fighter last year and dreamed about this fight. Not much has changed. If GSP wins he has to fight Hendricks

:good My bad! Honestly, it seemed like something too foolish for you to say in hindsight.

  11. We want Hendricks GSP!! Make it happen Dana

Hendricks is Ranked #2. Earned his shot by knocking out the best

Ahh that is some bull**** right there. Hendricks is the easier fight for GSP style wise but damn... Hendricks deserved that shot more than anybody at this time.

maybe dana dosent think quick KO wins is enough to cement a fighter
you can make the argument that those fights dont give any XP to hendricks & that a title shot against an elite athlete maybe isnt the best option right now has he would be totally outclassed.
Basically we havent seen Hendricks dominate anybody for 3 rounds
split decisions with pierce & koschek dosent help either

personally i still think hes dangerous & well suited to threaten GSP on his feet
