I think for one it might be Goossen speaking against the possibility of going to DEN, then Ward "agreeing with the boss". Goossen doesn't want to risk a certain amount of close rounds with a comebacking champion; the atmosphere in a place like Parken stadium could be an issue in Goossen's eyes, who knows... Kessler could pull a UD, maybe a SD a la Froch-Dirrell. Maybe Ward thinks he could do it, but it doesn't matter in the end.

Why not? He'd likely make more dough going over there than staying at home, considering Sauerland's deep pockets and talks of what, 5-6M for the S6 winner last year? At SMW, Ward doesn't have much other choice after (sigh) Pavlik who's success was largely based on size & power when faced with natural 160's. For money, for the expansion of his international recognition, ends a comebacking champ's dash. Again, why not..!

Lol at all the yanks defending ward not leaving the use. When it's Joe cal they whine like bitches even though half his fights were outside of Wales. Doublestands are strong here.

HHAHA. This old chestnut about Wales and England being completely seperate countries. They're both part of the UK. Joes is British, just like anyone else from England or Wales or Sctoland.

It says BRITISH on Joes passport.

not exactly hotbeds of boxing are they! if you were trying to make some sort of point about Ward not fighting all his fights in America it was a very poor one.

I am not talking about kessler claims of double vision, i too think that were a load of bollox.

He was blinded during the fight by being constantly butted and the cuts were attributed to being butted rather than clean punching. It was a sham and not a clean victory. Now go back to dreaming that ward is unbeatable even at 160 you ****:smooch

Wards skills aside there is no question that he has no guts. He must man up and go to Europe.

He should have been disqualified in his first fight with Kessler. If it was in Copenhagen he would have been.

Magee, Bunwande and Green have serious guts though. What happened to the career ending injury? Was that a free escape ticket out of the supersix?

:rofl i can't stop laughing at this load of bolox.

it already is more financially viable for him to fight say kessler in denmark. ward gets paid **** all and even when he fought Dawson he earned nothing.. look at where the fight was ffs.

Some sense at last. Anybody who thinks that a fight partially determined by headbutts is anything other than a no contest or disqualification is deluded. Any ref worth his salt would have seen what happened and acted within the rules.

Ummm, Ward has already fought out side America more times in his first 26 fights.

It took Calzaghe 39 fights to reach that milestone.

Oh and Calzaghe fough in the UK, whereas Ward fights in the centre of world boxing...America.

Good fighters from the UK have been going to America for decades to prove themselves on the highest level.

How often does an American fighter have to come to Britain to campaign there to proive himself.
