    Trout is taller.
    Tyson is the bigger man.

He isn't really smaller, just less tall.
Just like an Elephant is bigger than a giraffe

Muhammad Qawi was also a shortie.

Trout is 5'9'' and Tyson is a little bit taller I don't know what's surprising

I don't know about 'smaller.' They look to be about the same height. If anything Tyson is slightly taller. If Trout is 5'9-1/2" and Mike is an exact 5'10" then that pic looks to be about right.

The discs between the vertebrae (made of cartilage) settle down over age.

However the effect can be stopped (or even reversed to an extent) with the right stretching exercises.

Yeah shorter than Sam Langford. I went to check on boxrec but he never won a heavyweight title, but cruiserweight.

Never heard of Burns, but OK, he wins. Still, he wasn't what we consider today as a true HW, not even close. He typically fought at around 175-180 lbs, and when he fought Jack Johnson he weighed 168.
    -------------------------

Langford (about 5'6") was the MEXICAN HW champ, but did he ever hold a serious title?

BTW, he also had the worst nickname in the history of the sport:

    "The Boston Tar Baby."
    -----------------------------

For a "modern type" HW, that is, over 200 lbs, it's gotta' be Tyson, at around 5'10".
    Even Marciano was taller.

I think Sam Langford was one of the shortest ever heavyweight champions, but to be fair, he was around at a time when the average height was only about 5'7 - 5'8, so he wasn't that short in his time (although the average heavyweight was still several inches taller)

My old coach met him several times, has pictures together, etc..

He swears that Mike was 5'9.... maybe 5'10 on a good day.

I have met many clelebs, thought no boxers. I am 6'1'' I met Lou Ferrigno back in 1998, he was at best 6'3'' ( probably 6'2 1/2) he is listed at 6'5'' to 6'7'' Bull sh-it. I met Arnold back in the last 80's, I was easily two inches taller then he was, met LL Cool Jay back in 2001, he was a bit shorter then me, probably 6'' even but says he is 6'2''. Most if not all celebs and sports men lie about height, my best guess is most lie by 2 or 3 inches, I don't know why but it is what it is.

He fought even shorter than 5feet10. easy to see why he was a nightmare. Spend all day sparring guys your height an taller an you do good. All a sudden spar a short guy with speed an its awkward as ****.

He must have shrunk a little. How tall is Trout, 5'9?
