Marquez countered Pac's infamous feint, jab, left hand with perfection. Sure Marquez had more speed and power this time. That's supposed to happen when you train for it! Just like Pac carried his explosiveness up when he was following Ariza's program.

Did i not tell you Pac was silly not to take JMM seriously? He thought he could do whatever he wanted in camp, not do his strength and conditioning with Ariza, while Marquez was training for war. This i made crystal clear. Did i not tell you Pac being more aggressive would play into Marquez hands? Only difference from what i predicted is Pac completely underestimated Marquez power and thought he could be careless coming in.

Btw id love to see Mayweather Marquez II. Marquez said hes open to testing. This version of Marquez is brilliant. Same great technique but now with the speed and power at 147. Im one of the few who enjoyed their first fight but believe me, the rematch will be spectacular! If not then JMM should just retire and go out on a high note.

Im not so sure about that. Marquez and Nacho are amazing. In the 24/7 footage, Nacho tells Marquez "you didnt knock Pac down last time because you werent using the straight right hand.' They will know how to adjust to Floyd. And this time they wont be cheated out of 2 lbs :yep

But Floyd will adjust to them. Pacquaio comes into the fight, with a style and will fight the same no matter what. Mayweather will have plans a-z once he gets in the ring, plus he's tallen and has longer reach and he won't charge in like a moron like Pac did.

With Marquez victory I was temporarily raised from the dead.

I seen enough people get caught slipping because they throw those take a big ass step in jabs during cross stance matches.

    Macklin-Sexy Sergio(e)
    Cotto(e)-manny
add manny as another tally on the stat

floyd should do it just to give marquez a chance to avenge his loss and its a good warm up fight since hes been gone for so long.

    marquez-->Bradley-->The Ghost-->Pacman

marquez and bradley can be interchanged and probably should be. take out the best in your era at your weight and call it a day. Beat the two men that Pacman lost to let pacman gain some momentum back then manny

I can't see JMM beating Mayweather. I don't see him getting quite so dominated as last time, JMM would be accustomed to the weight, and hopefully PBF would actually make the weight, but it wouldn't be close IMO.

I expected like many that Marquez would win and possibly by a late TKO, never did I expect such a devastating early KO.

I said beforehand that it looked like Nacho and Marquez would continue with their blueprint but that they focussed on being more explosive in order to inflict more damage with their counters (cuts being what I thought would cause Manny problems as the fight progressed).

Pacquiao walked right onto the punch and it was a perfect execution by Marquez, truly sensational.

I'd like to see Marquez fight Mayweather again and think Manny should wrap up a fantastic career with a few well chosen opponents.

If Mosley can rock Floyd, twice in fact, so can Marquez. Marquez can knock anyone out at 147 right now. Marquez did not have the speed or power when he fought Floyd. But he had the technique and made Floyd really think in there. When preparing for Mayweather, Marquez was lifting and throwing rocks in the mountains and drinking turkey boogers and pee for crying out loud. It would be a damn shame if Marquez doesnt get the rematch. Nobody deserves it more than him right now.

Yeah Pac was doing his little hop back n forth like he does and leaped forward with a quick feint and lazy jab and got countered from a mile away. Good to see you around man. You know me, just here still schooling ESB :rasta

I didn't see more speed in the ring from Marquez. He seemed to hit harder, but not sure he actually does. The strength and conditioning he has been doing, gave him the confidence, to stand in and look for the KO. If Marquez had that type of mindset from the start, he probably could have KO'd Pac a long time ago. Standing in like that provided him with the opportunity.

It's possible he does significantly better. For me the issues in the first fight (besides Mayweather being an excellent fighter) were flexibility at the waist, foot speed, and hand speed. Those seemed more present in fight 3, but lacking in fight 4 for the sake of power. At the very least, he does better, given he won't be muscled around in the clinch as easily without having more success. But I'd like to see him against someone like Bradley, because Marquez looked a bit off sometimes on his timing and mobility.

Its a combination of speed and power. He added even more muscle which will slow you down. More muscle more power, you need more speed which was what they needed to compete at this weight. But ur right he did have more confidence as well and seemed to take a punch better also. This Marquez is a MUCH bigger threat than the one who faced Mayweather. He would have the confidence to open up and really take it to Floyd as well.

People are overlooking that JMM was on ***** street himself by the end of the fifth, and this fight could have gone either way. Neither fighter deserved to get sparked like Pac did, they both came to fight and fans should be celebrating that.

Ur friggin crazy! His jab and left hook was lightning fast. What yall are seeing possibly slow were the hayemakers Marquez was throwing. Although i believe Marquez hurt his foot or ankle after he got knocked down, he was telling Nacho something in the corner after and his backfoot looked hurt and flat-footed. He felt Pac out for a rd or 2, knocked him down and then didnt know what to do. He started being over-cautious so he wouldnt get caught himself. Once Marquez got knocked down it brought him out the shell he went into and he began trading furiously, followed by perfectly trapping and timing Pacs infamous 1, 2. Again Marquez speed on the jab hook was excellent, his hayemakers made him look off but both the overhand right and straight right were thrown with superb timing, speed and committment.
