I'm still honoring my 2 month ban. To be banned for 2 months for having experienced that testosterone pumped fight, only to be concluded by that beautiful beautiful counter of JMM is worth it. Props to JMM for FINALLY getting the nod he deserved all those years. :good But I'd like to leave a tiny bit of contribution for all of you who are wondering where MP is right now before I leave for good. Here he talks of first impressions after the KO, future plans (possible retirement) and general condition. [yt]kLtjcVxacxk[/yt] Here are the transcript of some of the talk's highlights: Host: How are you? How are you feeling? MP: I'm OK (perfect). *does a little dance with his shoulders and chuckles* No pain whatsoever. Host: I was informed by Buboy (fatty trainer) that he was the first to rush onstage and the moment you opened your eyes, your first words were "Where am I?". I this correct? MP: My first words were "Is the fight over?" *chuckles* Host: So what happened in the fight? Why did you get KO'd? MP: I faked (a jab) twice and then wasn't able to finish (with a left?). I was out of balanced when I threw my second punch and I dove into his (JMM) punch straight on. I really didn't see it coming. Host: I heard you reviewed your fight over and over again yesterday (Manny nods). Do you think there was anything that you could've done differently? MP: No, not really. Our conditioning was good, our movements (in the ring) was good. People have been asking me for ages about where my aggressiveness has gone. And that's what I gave them last night. I showed it to them. That's what the fans love to see so I showed it. Host: (turning to Jinkee) How did you feel when Manny was knocked out cold? Jinkee: Terrified. It was the first time I saw Manny like that. And I know boxers die in the ring too (cites examples of local boxers who died). MP: *suddenly butts in chuckling* Be thankful I didn't die. If I did, there will be no more Manny Pacquiao segments on these shows *chuckles some more* Host: People from your camp tells me that you thought if the fight continues for 1 or 2 more rounds, that you would've been able to stop JMM. MP: Yes. JMM was breathing hard with his mouth because blood was pouring from his nose and I saw that. I was specifically targeting his nose the moment I was able to break it. I thought to myself "This guy is gonna give up in the next round if I'm able to completely close his nose (from breathing)". Host: Are you asking or blaming yourself or anyone about the events that happened? MP: That's sports. That's boxing. You lose some, you win some. What is important is you accept your defeat wholeheartedly in the same way that you bask in your victories. I am at peace with my loss. Host: So what is next for Manny Pacquiao in the field of boxing? MP: *answers quickly* Fight again! *chuckles* (host asks if there is anyone in particular he wants to fight, MP responds by saying he has nobody yet in mind) Jinkee: I pray to God that He will speak to Manny clearly about his career direction. At the end of the day that's what counts: that he is obeying what God is telling him. Host: But what is your personal preference Jinkee? Jinkee: *hugs MP and then cries* No more fighting. Host: What is your message to your fans right now who are saddened by your loss? Who are crying in your defeat? MP: It's ok to cry for as long as they are happy tears *smiles*. There's no problem with me because I believe my fate is in the hands of God. All these: fame, fortune, championships, are just material things. In heaven there's no boxing champion or fame, we are all equals there. It's your faith and relationship with God that is important. It should be strengthened in the good times and in the bad. My faith didn't dwindle one tiny bit. As a matter of fact, it strengthened because of my defeat. Jinkee: Our victory is in our relationship with God. Fame and fortune come and go, it's important that we accept it as it is. * Then MP was asked if stopping his Catholic traditions like going to mass, wearing a rosary and signing the cross, played any role as what his mom was implying, he simply said they'll talk once he gets home * Mad props to JMM and all JMM fans! You deserve this win. JMM truly a G.:bbb If any of you have seen the anime "KO" or "Hajime no Ippo", JMM's killer counter was was the "jolt punch" that was spoken of in the series. It explains pretty well why, even for boxers with average punching power can KO granite chinned boxers. Here's a little treat from that anime: This content is protected
It's really impressive to see him in such good spirits. And what's odd is that he didn't go in there and flounder and then get stopped. He gave his everything, got stopped like never before, and is somehow fine with it all, and still eager to fight on. I'm liking this result better and better.
It's good that he seems to be contempt and overall good spirits. It's too early and unusual to hear someone speak like that after being KOed, so I hope he's not just in a state of shock. After the dust settles, we'll see how he really reacts.
I'm pretty sure had this been anyone else who knocked Manny out, we could've seen the end of Manny Pacquiao as we've known it. He lost to his rival, a champion, and [to an extent] his friend. Manny has shown Saturday that the intensity he had in his prime hasn't all gone away. He isn't young, but he isn't old either - he can still give us many exciting fights as long as he continues fighting like he did the other night. Marquez is definitely older and on his way out, so he in every essence needed this win more - and he deserved it. He played his cards really smart last night and cemented the fact that ten years from now, we'll be remembering Pacquiao-Marquez, not Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Pure class... Manny is soo amazing! There will never be another champion like Manny Pacquiao... The man is humble like a peasant and he has the heart of a Giant!
I don't think he'll end up like hatton.. I'm not the devout type but religion (regardless of what it may be) can exhibit a significant influence on a person's outlook on life
