Internet meaning: See bum

Real meaning: see bum

Internet meaning: see gatekeeper

This is one of my biggest bugbears around boxing. According to the internet definition 99% of fighters are bums. Yet these so called 'bums' pr 'tomato cans' are generally the bread and butter of the sport.

Internet meaning: has won WBU and IBO titles or is undefeated even though they have never fought a top 5 fighter.....

Real meaning: The fighter has taken three clean punches and is still in possession of his faculties.
Internet meaning: The fighter is still conscious.

The ref was bribed:

Real meaning: The ref took a bribe (this is EXTREMELY) rare.
Internet meaning: I had 50p on the fighter who lost.

Internet meaning: Boxer in question is a proper dickhead with a vile personality who generally acts like a ****, and the poster who called him "G" has poor english skills.

Real meaning: Someone who is funny, charismatic, tells interesting stories and is fun to be around.

Internet meaning: Someone who slaps, bites, spits, has convictions for public order offences, acts like a ****, and when punished for said behavior proceeds to complain and make threats in a horrendous accent.
