marquez. manny is an old 33 due to his style and his own sucess and spreading himself thin doing everything from singing to politics, business and a little boxing as well. i knew this lifestyle would catchup sooner or later just didn't think it would be by a 39 year old. im in bed and can't sleep absolutely shocked just thinking that two very big superstars in this era have aged right before my own eyes with cotto and pacquiao. when mayweather and marquez lose i will truly feel like this era is over.
No interest in a fifth fight. Marquez would beat him again. That said, I thought Manny looked as good as he has since the Clottey and Margarito fights honestly. I wouldn't have a problem seeing him fight on against some of the 140 pounders or welterweights like Guerrero.
That was a life changing tko like.pwill Hatton Juan Diaz and now.pacquiao have received hell never be the same
I am not a big fan of Manny, but I respect him as a fighter. He fights everyone and beat them all. He is a warrior no excuses. Manny's chin from the 3rd knockdown to the 6th round knockout did not look as good as he used to be, and he was hit clean in this fight in way he would not have been before. Too many hard fights. Wearing out is not about age it is about wear and tear. I don't think he was vintage. He looked a bit slower and open obviously. I suppose saying he was open after he was stopped is not very perceptive of me, but prior to the stoppage he was getting his clean. He normally got hit, but not that clean.
My thoughts exactly! A lack of defense finally cought up mith with the pac man. But yes, even though I wanted to see Marquex win it still hurt to see Manny taking that punishment and Juan for that matter his nose was bad, not that it was going to slow him down one bit. Either was holy **** i'm still in shock, that happened!
Will have to see what the KO has taken out of him. If it's like fight 4, Manny can win a decision if is a bit more intelligent. But if he goes to look for the KO which he feels he needs to redeem himself. It will end up in a war and there is a possibility of another KO.
Marquez's accuracy and timing was great, Pacquiao got cocky and Marquez had an opening he needed to execute what he does best. On evidence outside of that KO, Pacquiao looked far from finished, and Marquez was struggling. Any rematch would be hard to call for the same reasons, but Pacquiao has the beating of him if he isn't as reckless. Also, Marquez has benefitted from having the fire in his belly that Pacquiao has lacked. Pacquiao would be more motivated than ever - an advantage he hasn't had over Marquez in their last 2 encounters
