Got to be honest I think its a very good fight, I think Degale's speed would cause Froch nightmares, the obvious angle is that whilst Degale takes one one of his compulsory rests against the ropes Froch lands something that sends him to sleep, I completely see that side of things happening.

However I don't think its a gimmee and if Degale could stay off the ropes a lot more than he does now, I actually think its a fight he has the capability of winning on points.

DeGale is a poor man's Bute with less power but a better chin. Froch would walk through his shots and beat him up, maybe stop him late.

Nothing wrong with having ambition. Frochy was calling Super Joe's name when was pretty much a nobody.

Oh and what the heck was wrong with Witter wanting to fight Hatton?

    This. Here is the quote

"I think Carl would like a big domestic world title fight before he retires," DeGale added. "He didn't get it against Joe Calzaghe, despite years of trying, and hopefully he could get one against me.
"He's the sort of fighter who will fight anyone, he likes big fights, and if I can win a world title, that would make it a big fight."

Not exactly trash talking. The nerve of him to have a bit of ambition. Disgraceful.

Groves has also called him out in the paper today.

Nothing wrong with DeGale calling for this. All fighters do it.

But if this was to happen in the next year, Froch would be too physically strong. He would show DeGale no respect and walk threw him. I dont see it going past 8.

I think Degale V Froch is 50 50, James needs to stay away from them ropes though.

I'd say Degale ( and Groves for that matter)
Needs another year of getting physically stronger before a Froch fight. However if and when it happens I think it will be a domestic classic, perhaps the biggest in years (decades) if it happens on terrestrial tv

DeGale has very limited power, and a tendency to stay on the ropes needlessly. Froch would absolutely destroy him.

This is just a tosh hate thread.

Nowhere does DeGale say he's ready to fight Froch. He clearly stipulates "If I can continue to progress" and "If I can win a world title, that would make it a big fight."

Which is true on all accounts.

Like others have said, DeGale is just showing ambition.

Nothing wrong with that interview.....but I'd love Froch to fight and beat Degale.

Love the angle of Degale refusing good money to spar with a world champ in Froch. Bizarre...
