Carl Froch - Beating Groves and DeGale in the same night........

    Carl Froch has said on a Twitter that he could beat Groves and DeGale in the same night :bbb

    I'm sure The Cobra is speaking a bit tongue in cheek.............

    But what do we think about it?!

    Could he actually do it?

    How would the evening go?! :think

    Ask his missus, she would know or not if he can do 24 rounds in one night.

    My record is 69, I gave up after that, she was finished.

    I reckon DeGale could take enough energy out of Froch that Groves could maybe edge out a points win later on in the night.

    Evening Gaz :good

    Says alot for our two best domestic SM's that Froch could have twenty four rounds with them and still only lose a close points decision against one of them.

    I think alot would depend on the order he thought them.

    I think Groves first would be the best way round for him to stand a chance.

    Groves is pretty smart, I reckon he could muddle a tired Froch about enough for a decision win.

    It's just a pity Khan is a puny light welter or Carl could round off a great night with putting the feud to bed once and for all.

    :good I like Groves (I like DeGale as well, but not as much!); we're assuming Chunky could take Froch the full twelve!

    What if the first fight was over in three or four rounds, he could still be pretty fresh for Groves :D

    :lol: I don't think they will be needing a stool in Khan's corner!

    DeGale seems have a decent chin though with decent movement mate and, Bute notwithstanding, Forch isn't a massive puncher. I think DeGale would make Froch work for his win.

    I agree mate.

    I think although he may not have been grabbing many headlines with his last few wins, DeGale does appear to be quite tough.

    The most recent guys he has fought have been pretty durable and he has been made to work for his wins; he can clearly do the twelve rounds.

    I know its obviously never going to happen, but it would be such an interesting night and I think it would probably grab some sporting headlines around the world.

    Funnily enough, I see Groves giving Froch a harder fight than Degale. Now I dont like Groves, but I rate him. I could see Froch trying to walk through Groves, but Groves has heart, speed & power of his own. I think Groves could drag Froch into a war, & then its young upstart vs seasoned champ in a slugfest... & its anybodys game. Groves came through a crisis against anderson to win, & froch like Anderson loves a tear-up, & that seems to suit Groves.

    Degale? Now I like chunky, & rate him too, & to this day I maintain he was robbed against Groves. but styles make fights, & I think Degale has the style to make things awkward for Froch, but not the power to keep Carl off, & I could see a late stoppage win for the cobra after hes taken control by the 5th.

    Not an exact science, just letting my imagination go & imagining these two fights, & my imagination sees Groves doing better against a marauding Froch.

    Isn't Groves fighting Johnson next?

    If he beats him then perhaps I could see a Froch vs Groves fight happening. Johnson may be past his best but he's still a good boxer, beating him would prove Groves' skills.
