"Jorge Linares is probably the greatest fighter I've ever seen." -Steward at beginning of Linares vs. DeMarco.

    I don't remember that. That's disappointing.

    Roy was EXACTLY right.

Look what happened in the 12th round, and really every round.

Morales was trying to humiliate Pac. It was blatant and spectacular in rd 12.

I think he's also trying to distinguish himself as the expert to the viewing public.

I like when Roy said a guy was winning a fight because of "his Christian faith."

It was "This is one of the most fantastic boxers I have ever seen in my life" and it was at the beginning of round 2.

Ok, that's a lot better. I never thought a whole lot of Jorge, I'm going to watch more of his fights.

I heard Roy do an interview a few months ago in which he was comparing boxing commentators to UFC commentators. He said boxing commentators are too quick to criticize fighters, and need to give them more credit/hype like the UFC commentators do.

    Bump

Watching Pac get KO'd again and Roy was yelling hes not gonna get up jim hes not gonna get up jim

it sounded like he was doing an impression of Lampley cheerleading

hearing it made me think he was taking a dig at Lampley

    anybody else notice

I don't think he had the presence of mind (nor do I think anyone would really) to use a moment as shocking as that to take a dig at Lampley. Keep in mind too that as he's saying that Lampley keeps saying "Will he get up??"

I like the Jones commentary.. its actually making HBO broadcasts more tolerating. They need to fire Kellerman and replace him w/ Tyson.
