he doesnt even deserve a 2nd chance

Golden Boy matchmaker Eric Gomez, however, said that Vazquez's camp bypassed an offer to fight Broner, who defeated DeMarco instead.

"Before we fought DeMarco, I offered [promoter] Fernando Beltran the fight earlier this year to fight Adrien Broner, and they turned down $350,000 for that fightt," said Gomez. "Fernando Beltran said that he was the co-promoter for Vazquez, and he turned down that offer."

Broner doesn't have the footwork or talent to catch Vazquez

Eh. I don't know how many people would make sure they tuned in for Vazquez.

I disagree. I think if Vazquez chose to continue his heavy movement as he does, Broner would just launch firepower and run him down after exchanges. I see no way Vazquez would ever stop him in his tracks.

Don't blame him. He's got a title and a nice winning streak. As the HBO announcers were saying, he has the skill to keep it for a long time and make a very nice living. And they were also more or less saying that they can't wait for him to lose so he can be banished to obscurity for being "boring." $350,000 isn't worth the risk and I'm not even sure it's a fair pay day for that fight in a vacuum.

Vazquez promoter should watch some Dwyer cause the dude makes some good points. Also think it was IrishNK that pointed out that Broner used to go backwards and his foot speed basically made him loss to some fringe young fighter with a good jab and fast feet. I'll have to take a second look at Vazquez to see if these guys are on to something....

It's too bad... Would of loved to see Broner KO Vazquez! I hate his style of fighting.. It's cringe worthy...

Has Beltran ever co-promoted with Golden Boy at an point in the recent past? I mean his promotion is essentially Top Rank's Mexico outpost.

    Haha.

I think Fat Dan said he made 175K for his last fight, with Gesta.

How much of that would he actually see though?

It said on the international feed of the fight before Gesta that he fought for a majority share of $50k,so I see both sides here.
That might've been a good offer. But keep in mind that(I heard) Burns made around £400k(not sure if that's pre-vulture or post-vulture) for Mitchell,so even though we're all only guessing here, these figures are worth remembering.Belt holders are perfectly entitled to make sure they get a degree of parity, and every single one of us would do the same, regardless of how many pretend they'd do it all "for the legacy"
I'd like to know what Broner's purse would be before I accuse him of being greedy or tight-fisted here.
