    I believe some amateurs stay amateur too long and hampers their legacy in the pros, which at the end of the day, where they will be remembered most

    Is every boxer mentioned in this thread THE most dominant ever ? Did i say he was the most dominant ever ? If everyone said the same name wouldnt that be a bit ****in boring ?
    That's how it ****in works you throw ideas in, fighters who had good/special amateur careers. Which he blatantly did.3 ABA titles at 3 different weights in 3 consecutive years is special.Going unbeaten in 4/5 years is special.

    I have to agree with the other guy, Calzaghe's amateur record isn't anything special. Even Froch has a far more impressive amateur career due to his world championship bronze.
