Marquez did all the things you pointed out in that 3rd fight.

Pacquiao's plan was to make Marquez have to lead so that counterpunching opportunities off of Pacquiao's aggression would not be there for Marquez.

Team Pacquiao thought that in forcing Marquez to lead, Pacquiao would be able to use his speed and quickness to counter a now older Marquez.

What team Pacquiao did'nt count on was that Marquez would be landing his leads. Marquez was probing and finding Pacquiao with leads to both head and body offsetting Pacquiao's planned counters.
When Pacquiao countered anyways, they were'nt landing clean and crisp, and Marquez was countering Pacquiao's own counters and countering him hard.

Marquez was always a step ahead of Pacquiao and just to smart to get outboxed despite Pacquiao being quicker and faster.
If you're that much more skilled as a boxer, an opponents quickness and speed can only take him so far.
Marquez is to alert Tazo that even in the few times he reaches while he's probing, his hands are always up ready to parry, and his feet come back quickly to balance and use waist movements.

Who the hell of Pacquiao's welter opponents aside from Marquez was capable of that?
Mosley did it at times but did'nt have the countering skills.

.....and Bradley moved his waist alot but without a purpose of getting in range to counter.
Bradley piled up points on the hustle while inside, but created himself very few clean countering opportunities simply because he was more concerned with the defensive side of his waist movements and not incoroporating his movements to gain a punching advantage that Marquez simply has mastered.

I thought Marquez probes and leads in the 3rd fight were precise and exellent.
He probed for the purpose to bait Pacquiao to counter, so that he in turn could counter.
To take it further than what he did in that 3rd fight and get more aggressive in leading is exactly what Pacquiao would want.

Marquez' way in the 3rd fight was perfect for him. Marquez' leads were just aggressive enough that his connects were telling even to the uneducated eye. So tell, enough known *******s bowed their heads and conceded this truth.

If Marquez gets any more aggressive with his leads, it can only be by very little. For it to be much more is to play Pacquiao's game and turn the match into a firefight.

......and you know what Tazo? Marquez can actually win a firefight. He proved it in fight 2. Marquez was really aggressive and followed up his own counters by pressing Pacquiao when Pacquiao wanted to backup and reset.
For Marquez to go that route however, Pacquiao will land enough hard connects of his own that those that are desperate to see Pacquiao win, have the excuse to say, "Pacquiao's connects despite not being as many, were harder."
Bogus of course, but in this scenario Pacquiao has an avenue to connect with some hard shots that were not available at the pace and tempo Marquez played it in the 3rd fight.

IMO if Marquez is smart, he plays it exactly with the same mindset and pace he played it in fight 3.
Team Pacquiao knows they were embarrassed that fight, and if they dont want to get embarrassed again, its Pacquiao who will have to up the tempo, and then yes Tazo, yes thats when Marquez can dish out the clean counters at the rate Pacquiao is attacking.

The icing on the cake for Marquez in this scenario is that a Pacquiao attacking with better tempo and force, thats the scenario that Marquez has the ability and can knockout Manny Pacquiao!

There is a reason Pacquiao slows down his aggression when Marquez connects! He feels those shots by Marquez and imo he feels he cant force himself upon Marquez or he can get badly hurt.

They've rought 3 times in a span of nearly 8 years in 3 different weight divsions. If Pacquiao has'nt solved Marquez by now, he's not going to solve him.

When it relates to Pacquiao only fathertime solves Juan Manuel Marquez!

    Of course you do! :D

Seriously I see your point about Marquez getting even more aggressive to eye the judges.
The reality however is that the judges are corrupt. When they're intent on having a particular fighter coming out on top, they'll do everything in their power to look only for things that will suit their agenda.
Winning 8 to 10 rounds and getting dropped once is the excuse they need to hide their agenda and make it look like they were doing their jobs.

So it really does'nt matter if Marquez is a bit more aggressive or not. If the judges are intent to have Pacquiao win, they'll have him win as long as Pacquiao does'nt get beaten down from pillar to post and bloodgeoned in the process.

lol don't be lazy Bogotazo. Looks like divac actually took his time with his post. Give him a real answer.

I disagree fully that Marquez can win a fire fight with Manny. He might get the best of Manny at times while he's in one of his awkward/unbalanced positions. But winning a round like that is not productive. At best*, it would benefit both fighters in two different aspects to have those type of exchanges.
JMM aggression would need to be picking Manny off with his jab a little more than the last time. Not so much with his lead right unless the timing is right.
Feinting will also be one of the major keys. Both fighters will benefit hugely from their opponents mistakes. Though if they follow tactical and educated feinting, I feel Marquez would obviously get the best of Manny.
Team Pacquiao needs to feint only with the purpose to get into position to attack and make the fight very physical and create fireworks. That's what people want to see and be needs to pocket those judges. Marquez is Mexican after all, so he will react to fireworks and will mix it up when he shouldn't.

All three fights saw Pacquiao get driven back by hard counters when trying to get physical.

Fight 2 is a perfect example of Marquez winning a firefight.

As long as Marquez fights within the confines of movement away from Pacquiao's left hand, he's proven he can win a fight where he's being extremely aggressive and generous with his counters.

You dont have to come foward to be aggressive dishing out leather. Marquez has proven this time and again! :deal
