Seeing how the Pac vs May debate rages on I think Pacquiao vs Mayweather could still sell big bucks and here is why. See Pacquiao and Mayweather have following for totally different reasons.

People like Mayweather because he is dedicated, undefeated, cocky, and he won't give the fans the pleasure of watching him lose by totally dismantling his opponents.

People like Pacquiao because he is the underdog with a big heart, exciting to watch and always has a fighting chance. Even when Pacquiao became popular he already had several loses and he still bounced back in popularity even when he lost to Morales in his prime.

See people don't care that Pac lost though. They already know he is the underdog, but he is the only underdog with a chance. Does anyone else at 147 have a chance of beating Mayweather? No, not really. Does anyone at 154 have the skills that Pac has? No, not really. So we are talking about the next best contender with the physical capabilities to give Mayweather some problems. I say let's bring it on :happy

Sure, the fight would still sell but it's nowhere as big as it was before Saturday night...

id rather pac won his next fight against solid opposition (not JMM 5 tho that should be left alone now same result again) then yea sure id watch it if it was labeled as the last fight for both fighters in sept

would be a great way for them to both go out

damn im a ****ing genius. If it was labeled 'last fight of a generation' as boxings in a transitional stage and both annouced it to be their last fight it would sell 2 mill buys easily

It would have been even bigger if Pacquiao was from Vietnam and the fight happened during the cold war :deal

I'll always be interested in any Pacquiao or Mayweather fights regardless of situation. Though, for this fight I think it would be best for Pacquiao to rematch Marquez, win and then make it.
