Has ashishwarrior had anymore arguments with himself whilst i've been gone?

 

I like how Virgil Hunter comes across,I like how he's trying to neutralise a lot of Khans wasted energy when he almost runs around the ring whilst on the outside.

It looks frustrating for both at times. Hunter is trying to stop Khan doing a lot of the things he does naturally such as being drawn in to a fight you could hear this against Angulo and trying to settle him down.

Khan should be in the gym constantly learning with Hunter not just in training camps,have Xmas off and get back in the gym working constantly on his technique and ring IQ.

 

How does it help to go so slow the pads? I understand the need for control and the need to think about the move rather than blind speed. But purposefully going so slow seems pointless since you're not actually emulating a fight scenario.

 

Exactly, he should be around Hunter at every opportunity in the gym. I've always thought listening to Khan down through the years that he is a bit dim, doesn't speak sense in interviews and id imagine it transcends into following instructions from trainers. He has picked up some truly awful habits which can't all be down to Roach, Rubio and Harrison. He always speaks with a sense of entitlement, even this week talking about Garcia again when he has opponent infront of him. He can definetely improve technically with Hunter but he has to listen, wiil be interesting to see if he has the intelligence and focus to follow instruction in the ring.

 

the behind the ropes episode was really good, nice play to sky for that one.

 

This was 3 weeks into camp quite early on, its good to see Hunter really taking Khan school and drilling in some good adjustments.

 

i can see khan easily regressing to his old style once molina starts putting on the pressure and getting through

 

The point is to not let Molina get through.

 

easier said then done, i think hunters a great trainer, but i think its too late to add new tools to a flawed style. Just my opinion, once he gets hit he'll go back to the kangaroo in and out flurry B.S. hope this fight goes a few rounds and we see how much he's learned.
