Gatti was mainly famous for his classic trilogy with Ward. People don't remember him for anything else.

Gatti in the HOF before naz, curry, ernesto marcel and michael nunn. Those 4 were elite p4p fighters, gatti is a C level nobody. He got in because hes an italian american.

He's in because he took huge risks and made several ATG fights. Because his significance to the fight game far outstripped his talent.

It is true. Hamed should have made it in before Gatti. It is a sentimental thing for boxing fans to like the exciting guys who fight above expectation.

If Naz wanted a faster path to the Hall of Fame, he shouldn't have quit like a ***** first time someone beat him.

That's not how Hall of Famers do things.

If there is a Quitters Hall of Fame, Hamed is in on first ballot.

One more time. Gatti was not American. He was a Canadian that was born in Italy.

Gatti was a club fighter who became famous by getting his face bashed in

Mistakenly picked up a strap or two ... Had virtually no talent, skill or ability

    Yes.

    :thumbsup

Not to mention that Gatti participated in Fight of the Year a total of FOUR TIMES! (1997, 1998, 2002 and 2003).

Anyone calling Gatti a Club Fighter needs to realize that Club Fighters don't win national armature tournaments, qualify for Olympic teams and go on to win multiple world titles in two weight classes and draw legions of fans.

Hamed would have been a great pick with Virgil Hill. I have no argument about Gatti except for the guys like Hamed who did not make it in. Some people mention Donald Curry, but I am not sure he deserves it over others who are up for nomination.
