Does pac make it out of round 3 alive against floyd?

Id still love to see the fight as well. Just because JJM koed Manny it dosnt meant floyd will ...dosnt even guarantee a win. Two totally different fighters. Plus Floyd wont be going into Pacs wheelhouse and loading up like Juan. I see Pac being successful with smothering Floyd with volume but hes gotta be smart about it and also not leap in like he likes to do. Pac might very well lose a decision but to say Floyd will just steamroll him is nutz.

if these two fight, void being a slow starter might lose the first 2 rounds on points and will start to impose his will in the middle rounds, assuming he is able to boss around pac like he did with the smaller jmm.

 

Floyd is a mastermind, he knows much better than anyone of you losers how to
beat an opponent, if he sees by himself that he is able to stop PAC or even be
comfortable to get a clear nod he would took it already and earn his $50mln purse.

For all of you it should be clear that Floyd himself is not comfortable in this fight,
he is admitting that the risk of being hurt is too big, and the most possible outcome
would be that PAC either KOs him or that he would not be able to get the decision.

Floyd can't stop s***...only way he would beat Pacquiao is via a decision by keeping Pacquiao at arm's length. It would be a 12 round snooze fest with Mayweather hiding behind the jab.

Pacquiao-Marquez V is a much better fight to make. Mayweather has run for years, people need to accept he will never fight Pacquiao so move on.

 

Even in the height of the Pacquiao-Mayweather talk, when Pac was on top of the world, I always thought the one and only way he could beat Floyd is to make him too concerned with defense to sustain an offense, thus, losing on the cards. In other words, I never thought Pac could do serious damage to Floyd, definitely not knock him out, and MOST definitely not out-box him...

...now, I think it's plain to see that Pac doesn't stand a chance of winning. He does stand a good chance of making it to the finish line, but even that isn't 100%

Disagree, I think Pacquiao has more chance of a KO against Mayweather than any other opponent mayweather has faced, because of the speed of his combinations. The only thing stopping that is Mayweather's defense is so damn good that it will greatly depend on how often Pacquiao connect - but if Pacquiao connected he is more than capable of putting Floyd down, no doubt about it.

Of course if it turned into a slow tempo boxing match like Pac-Marquez 3 then Mayweather snoozes his way to a UD. If Pacquiao moved the way he did against Marquez in IV, and wasn't as reckless as he was in round 6 then Pacquiao would certainly have a chance but he wouldn't connect as often as Mayweather would keep him more at bay with the jab...but if you move aggressively into Mayweatehr his instinct is to cover up, not trade like Marquez so that's where the opportunity would lie...but that's IF Pacquiao was able to do that

I think Manny will be looking for the fight all night"...and that's how Mayweather would win - all these idiots going on about Mayweather KOing Pacquiao are basing this on nothing but what happened on Saturday which is nothing more than the triangle theory which we all know is what people say that don't know anything about boxing - they're certainly not basing it on Mayweather's style or KO track record LOL

 

Floyd waited for Manny to lose. But Manny made the last 4 years great for boxing, really before that, but the last 4 years he was boxing.. Not many guys stay on top that long.

 

No doubt. Pacquiao made boxing exciting, explosive...always great entertainment watching him.

Floyd turns boxing into a business and a circus, calculated choice of opponents, maximise marketability and hyping up mismatches, and a gullible set of fans who eat up everything he says and then repeat it word for word on forums like this while stupidly lining his pockets by buying his fights

 

exactly, and this is what he was waiting for. Pac fights everyone so eventually he would lose and Floyd would be the last one standing. I love Sugar Ray Leonard, but he did this a little in the 1980s. Hearns,Duran,Hagler and Benitez kept fighting each other and Ray retires. When Ray comes back they are all worn out a little and Ray then fights all 3, although I think he always beats Duran, and he underestimated the wear on Tommy. Marvin of 2 years before would have beaten him. Ray was smart that is for sure, but he did actually fight the legends, but Floyd has not. He should have fought Pacman. If he beats Pacman now after Pacman was knocked out by JMM does it mean something? Yes, but not what it did or would have meant a year ago, but having a fighter of that magnitude on his resume looks great next to Marquez,Mosley,Delahoya, even though he fought all of them when they were older.

 

The thing with Leonard was that he did have a legitimate reason to retire. I do remember the hysteria around his retina and how much pressure he was under to retire - however he definitely delayed his comeback by a year or 2 waiting for Hagler to slow down and when he saw that against Mugabe he came back, but at least he did.

With regards to Hagler we also have to remember Leonard was a welterweight, had never even fought at 154 and Hagler a middleweight - what he did would be equivalent of Mayweather stepping up and fighting Martinez at 160 - people still underestimate the bravery in doing that in the first place. Leonard wasn't like Hearns, Hearns with that height had to drain to get to 147 and was always going to step up.

So despite Leonard being clever, he still went in at 160 and took on a guy many thought would seriously damage him - probably the best middleweight of all time and still beat him regardless of the controversy.

Mayweather can't even be mentioned in the same breath as these guys - they all took KOs, they all took defeats and all of them came back. If Pacquiao manages a comeback, especially if he KOs Marquez his legacy will certainly be strengthened.
