Just looked at the record of Jesus Muniz and I suspect your right atsch (hey he lasted 9 rounds with Chong). Ah well only what now 8 days now until the world ends and this dreadful human race is wiped out :tired haha
Check out Gomez-Pintor. One of the best fights out there, ever. I'm a huge Pintor fan; check out his fight on youtube with Davila, whom we mentioned before. Really good, well-fought scrap. He could usually be depended on to provide good fights.
I messaged Harold Lederman on Facebook quite a while back. This is a man who has watched and judged countless fights through the years, but he had no hesitation to name Gomez-Pintor as the single greatest fight he has ever seen. I definitely understand the high praise. It's a tremendous fight. Non-stop action.
Well Olivares and Gomez in terms of excitement but it's more because of how sublime they both were and still provided all the thrills that KO's do etc.
Seriously? Was he a pretty cool guy? It's definitely in my top ten; just a stupid good fight it was........
LOL! Well, whatever side we sit on, I am sure we agree that it is a shame this fight never came off. Would have been fun to watch and been a major notch on the resume of the winner/Chandler!
I actually wouldn't discount Chandler beating him, but he'd have to be at his very best. I mean, if he thought Canizales ate up his ribs........
That's a great post!!!! Zarate is about as good as it gets in boxing. Only a handful were better. As perfect an execution of his style as I have seen outside of Joe Louis.
Nice turn of phrase, probably the most accurate and succinct description of Zarate that I've ever heard.
Haha thanks a lot http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=3383&cat=boxer Muniz hardly had the nicest entrance to pro boxing did he? Ayala, Zarate, Vasquez and Chong
