Just seen this fight. After the first few rounds his cardio seemed to slow down and the fight changed so much. But man he was such a tough, game fighter with a deceptive record. See his fights with Kevin Kelley and Jorge Paez foe better performances- the Kelley fight was tremendous. It's strange seeing a young Medina (20 years old), I'm only used to seeing him when he was past his best. He was so classy after in the interview as well- its rare whenever a loser in boxing claims his opponent was the better man that night.

He was a tough Texan hombre. Great output and stamina, not a lot of power and not a deep amateur background. If I remember right, he was a good kickboxer before moving over to boxing.

Yep thats correct. Apparently the first kickboxing champion to challenge for a pro boxing world title. His lack of power let him down in some times- aka the first 2 rounds in this fight.

He has a very square on stance which is a attribute most former kickboxers have I believe even when they go over to boing. Habits die hard

The fight with Kelley was a spectacle, with nearly two thousand thrown, if I remember rightly. I liked Dorsey, he was a good honest fighter, who did not have an easy start or all the breaks, but still made himself a fine boxing career.

Indeed :good Apparentley he wasen't too happy when in a fight with Paez (can't remember which) he wasen't happy he lost a round 10-8 after getting dropped- even though he got up and threw a casual 180 punches. Haha what a decieving record he had. Can you imagine some prospect facing him presuming it would be a easy nights work because of the record, not watching tape, and encountering a hurricane in the ring. Always what I think when I watch Nigel Benn's career set- some of his early foreign opponents had no idea what was coming.

One of boxing's most prolific blood donors alongside Antoufermo, Wepner, Cotto, and Katsidis.

In all seriousness Dorsey was a good fighter.
