Johannson for me, Johannson was pretty class, plus he was one of the finest right hands in the history of the division, behind Schmeling though. I think the dimensions won't mean all that when they're in the middle of the ring and one of them not too accurate jabs from the big man gets countered.

    Ingo by stoppage for me

Carnera was very vulnerable to the right cross,Ingo had a beauty.

Middle to late rounds stoppage with Carnera being floored multiple times ,and showing heart getting up.
Similar to the Baer scrap. but tidier.

all in all i have to go with Ingo like everyone else..however, it should be remembered that Ingo was not accustomed to being the smaller man in the ring..he did not move his head much..and he could get hit with jabs by someone like Primo...still, i have to go with Ingo for a mid round KO.

Ingo was often the smaller man, eg Neuhaus, Richardson, Schlegl, Ten Hoff and quite a solid boxer too. Mid rounds KO.

I voted Carnera. He was quite a good boxer at his best and very tough. Look what Baer did to him and how Carnera stood up to that. I think both at their best a decision win by Carnera has a slightly higher chance than a knockout by Ingo.

The best punchers that Primo fought in," on the level fights ",massacred him. Very tough? Make that very brave, Baer had him down 11 times. Louis destroyed him.

It's impossible for me to believe that at one point or another, ingo's right dowen't make contact with Carnera's jaw. Probably after 3 rounds of being outboxed and looking to be at a loss at first, Ingo lands "it" and down goes Primo...and 2 kds later it's stopped. Ingo tko 4 Carnera.

Sorry, first I don´t buy all that "Primo´s fights were crooked" stuff. We had that discussion, you and I disgree neither can prove he´s right. So, that´s done. Just for the record.

Second, Baer and Louis are harder punchers than Ingo. Both needed a lot of punches to knock Primo out. Baer massacred him. True. But that was Baer at his absolute best who threw everything at Ingo and he still needed to knock him down 11 times to stop him. If one of the hardest punchers at his best needs 11 punches to stp you, you probably have a very good chin. Similar for Louis.

Ingo will land his punch. He has a very good chance of knocking him down and a big chance of stopping Primo. No doubt. Ingo was a great puncher with his right. Will he land it often enough to stop Primo. I´m not really sure, I think the possibility of Primo surviving some shaky moments while outboxing Ingo and winning a decision is more likely.

That was Baer at his sloppiest worst he should have had Carnera out of there a lot quicker. Carnera had a very good chin because he kept getting up? What like Patterson's? Carnera had poor punch resistance against hitters proof ? They all kod him.

They´re all known as big hitters and needed multiple knockdowns and to throw everything they had to stop him. Yes, that´s is sign of a good chin. Not a granite one or anything but good enough.
And as written in the past, no I don´t think Patterson had a bad chin either.

Generally that fight is seen as one of the best of Baer and you make one of the worst out of it now because it fits your agenda. :patsch
