Marquez' all-time Mexico status/Marquez' next move

Finito was talented, a great offensive fighter.

 

justified. but imo finito is better than sal. but arguable.

 

Rosario, Lockridge, JLR, Mayweather, etc.

MAB (Morales x2, Hamed, Tapia, McKinney, Ayala) :yep

 

Juan LaPorte and Ruben Castillo were also two very good fighters. They'd both be in the mix today.

 

Easily, I just know chivito is going to mention them for Sal as well.

 

MAB and Erik deserve to be rated before Lopez, who he had fourth.

He'd be lucky to see a top ten spot honestly (imo); what with the likes of Chavez, Sanchez, Olivares, Saldivar, Canto, MAB, Morales, Marquez, Zarate.

 

If JMM wasn't Mexican he would fit Canelo's opponent pattern perfectly. He's old, lightweight, and scored an impressive win. I'm sure ODLH thought about matching them. How the hell Canelo has so many fans in Mexico?

 

More to the point, how the hell did we get on to the subject of Saul Alvarez?

 

cant see marques moving up to the top five no matter what he does the rest of his career.. unless he fights and beats floyd which i cant see happening.. i think he sticks at number six which is not bad

Can you honestly say that you think JMM would beat JCC at LW? Even at 140, the JCC of the late 80's, a brutal, very elusive body punching machine who would literally leap across the ring to get at you? I love JMM, but I think JCC would take him in a brutal stoppage late 9 times out of 10. Actually, 10x out of 10. JMM can't win that fight. I also think a prime MAB and a prime EM outpoint him about 70% of the time. And that's leaving the old timers, who I can't speak on with authority, out of the picture entirely.

 

I can't fit in Lopez or Zarate above Olivares and Saldivar any way I try to slice it. Chavez, though, is the most complete Mexican fighter I've ever seen. And one of the greatest combination punches ever. Ahead of Marquez if you ask me.
