I respect Broner for picking a very high risk low reward fight in Abril

Agreed. Abril has that style that can make anyone look bad and really turn it into an ugly fight

This fight isn't high risk at all.

If it goes to a decision, Broner will win because he's the cash cow and Abril's style is ****ing terrible to watch.

Since Abril can't punch at all, it will go to a decision.

Pretty sure this is a hype fight for Rios. The argument here will be Rios lost to Abril and will therefore lose to Broner. This can hype the fight into more views.

Starting to like Broner. I know he acts like a tool sometimes but sometimes you have to do something to separate yourself from the pack to get noticed and make some money. Seems ready to fight anybody, anytime and I like that. I think he has to talent to be a HOF fighter. This guy Abril is in for a real "problem"

Risky fight for Broner could stop his momentum with a lackluster performance but atleast he can show that he has fought a spoiler like Abril and isn't afraid of any style.

Broner and Abril are not fighting eachother. They are still trying to make Broner vs. Burns. Frank Worren apprently spoke with Schaeffer about the fight. Worren supposedly will be talking to Burns' people next week.

The fight is already listed on BoxRec, so although no official, likely.

I was hoping though that this was a leverage ploy to get Burns to sign up. Tell him now or risk losing, possibly forever, a big fight in the States, and be known as a ducker.

After all, Broner won't be at 135 for long, and doesn't really need Burns.

i agree. but at the same time if broner can dominate someone as defensive as abril it will help him expand as a fighter and gain some experience points. if he beats abril in a dominate fashion then i'll be very impressed.
