He was rubbish at the Olympics. Not impressed at all.

The Scousers hyped him up but he was poor.

He was hyped up by the national media and many people within the sport because he had won medals at all the major amateur competitions and he was also the team captain.

Comes across well IMO, suppose he's the other side of the Olympic coin. At least it's saved him having to go on Dancing on Ice

I'm a scouser but even I have no idea what he's saying.

Seriously, he's a good little fighter and was unlucky in the Olympics. He should turn professional now, **** waiting 4 years for Rio. Turn professional and see if he can make a go of it.

Good luck Tom in whatever you do. :good

In fairness most scousers wanted him to do well rather than think he would, the fact he was ranked number 1 in the world changed peoples perceptions on how good he was. I've never really rated him that highly, his style isn't very pro friendly.

thought he lost a fight that could of went either way but was also was lucky in a previous round which he could of lost. certainly no robbery and for a captain and world number 1 he was very poor

Who in the general public remembers any of the 2012 boxing Olympians? Nobody knows who Luke Campbell is (Dancing On Ice may change that), Anthony Joshua won gold at super-heavyweight FFS yet nobody gives a ****. Ogogo is more famous for the Subway adverts than his actual boxing.

I blame the BBC and their continued ignorance of boxing, if these guys had won medals in athletics, cycling or swimming we wouldn't be hearing the end of them. The only Olympic boxer who's getting any coverage is Nicola Adams, mainly because the BBC desparately wants to be seen as PC so have over-hyped the achievements of the female medal winners (taking nothing away from Nicola, she deserves all the plaudits she gets but she shouldn't be receiving any more than Campbell or Joshua).

Stalker should turn pro. Matchroom would probably have him.
