I don't think those two ****tards actually read the question. Even on a pound for pound basis, they're off, though. He's easily top 10. Easily #1 Lightweight.

At least of the modern era.

I thought the dude was being sarcastic that said he's not in the top 15, so i followed it up a sarcastic response. I would not argue somebody calling duran the number 1 lightweight ever.

If you're talking about me, I did read the question and like you I also rate Duran top 3 lightweight, I mented the p4p rankings because I was trying to figure out why tezel8264 would place Duran so low because threre's no way he ranks that low at lightweight but it would be understandable if someone put Duran in that range on the p4p rankings

To me, easily the best Lightweight ever. Followed by Leonard, Gans and Whitaker. The order of them 3 sometimes changes depending on how i'm feeling.

I was drunk last night when I typed that, and I'm working on getting drunk again. A bit more difficult to spot sarcasm in such a state.

h2h you got Mayweather behind him on spot 2.
Maybe Mayweather ranks lower because his ultimate weightclass was 130 and not 135.

For me Benny leonard is the greatest LW of all time....I go back and forth w/ Duran & Gans @ 2-3....he is certainly in the discussion. For the most part these 3 guys are a consensus top 3 and any order wouldn't stir a reaction out of me.

Here is ESB consensus LW rankings...close between the big 3.

I put him in the 11-15 range, but to each their own...I think 11th or 12th??? last I did a list....

    1 SRR
    2 Greb
    3 Armstrong
    4 Langford
    5 Charles
    6 Fitz
    7 Pep
    8 Louis
    9 Moore
    10 Ali

I believe I had Duran or Ross @ 11???? He is a contender for top 10, but I am not sold that he is a lock?

anyway here is the consensus from ESB about 2 years ago...he was top 10 by the majority:
