"oh ****"- Some chick commentator as Boom Boom Bautista wobbles face first into the ropes in a fight against Ponce de Leon.

I think it was Tyson v Botha and the commentator says something like "Tyson can't get off with any power, that's the mark of a shot fighter right there" and then you just hear Tyson roar as he throws and lands a straight right hand down the pipe.

Botha crumbles and the fight is over!!!!!

I also always remember Khan v Prescott, just as the first bell sounds the commentator says "just how dangerous is....Prescott", 30 seconds later we find out.

Think this was the end of the 5th round in the first fight. Ward throws a 6 punch combination and cuts Gatti

    Brewster vs Golota

Lampley: This is the Golota that froze against Lennox Lewis.

Jones: No its not, Not its not. This is the Golota that just got the hell knocked out of him.

Brewster just came at Golata with everything.

If you look at Golata, he looks just fine getting up everytime he goes down.
He's not on unsteady legs, and his eyes look fine.

I've always mantained you stop a fight when the fighter does'nt look fit to continue.
That was'nt the case here, the ref overreacted and stopped what had the potential to be a great fight.

That was burnt in my memory for a while. I still like the HBO crew, but they've become stale and forced, and there haven't been many 'memorable lines' since around 2005.

Another fun line from HBO's peak days...

"Derrick Jefferson... I LOVE YOU!!!" -Larry Merchant

Lampley is usually way too biased. However... the man has called some great knockouts. Those fights and events wouldn't have been the same without him.

Even though I don't like how biased he is, Lamps is one legendary commentator.

"LEFT HOOK GETS KHAN!!" On the first knockdown of the Garcia fight, always remember that bit of commentary
