Wearing Grant/Reyes etc gloves and the company logos on their shorts? I know it varies with the popuarity of the fighter but does anyone have exact numbers? Lets say Champion A fights on an average HBO fight with 1,2+ million views, that is a pretty big audience and a lot of potential customers for companies. What do they pay to have their logos on the shorts?
I am asking because some very popular fighters like Floyd Mayweather or Shane Mosley never have/had anything on their Trunks during fights and i wonder why.
Floyd won't wear anything unless he is getting paid for it. The other fighters may or may not be getting paid, but they may be getting free equipment for training, which would cost if they didn't have a sponsor.
They do it to show off brands, its more of an advertisement and in return they get free equipment and i think some companies pay for the trips and what not.
