Will Donaire be Fighter of the Year IF he wins his 4th fight this year?

IMO he's already the FOTY even if this fight was not taking place. But, yeah he has to be if he wins this.

 

Nah. Pac has more talent than all of Donaire's opponents combined. I don't give it to a fighter with only one good win. But I'm making an exception for the guy who KTFO Pac. Too epic.

But with that said, Donaire WILL win the award because it's not up to me to decide.

Broner leap-frogged him in the Ring P4P ratings, so I'm guessing he'd have to knock out god in the first round to even move up a notch with Golden Boy, much less be considered FOTY. Think he'll have time to schedule a fifth fight this year after tonight's?

 

No one believes it right now but what sucks is this serves as a head start for when (if) he does secure some solid wins. He won't have to start at 10 and climb his way up, and few will remember he never deserved to premier at 5 in the first place.

 

What's about cruz? 5 defences this year? Still undefeated? Just fought a good fight?

 

nah JMM will win it. I would have no problem with JMM, Donaire or Danny Garcia getting the nod.
