I still think Billy's a bit undersized at middleweight, his stamina didnt look too good last night either.

At this stage of his career going 12 hard rounds will be an excellent experience because as he moves up against better opposition he'll be relying less on his power & more on his boxing ability.

Someone like Murray is precisely what BJS needs....he's bored shitless with this meaningless level of competition. **** fight for the Lonsdale, its value is going to be pretty much the same as the Commonwealth soon.

I honestly cant see much good with eubank jr except his workrate. Think billy joe would break him up in good fashion. THought he looked good last night just tired late on against a game oppenent who wouldnt leave him alone, at times billys movement was lovely just dont think hes got the punch power yet to come up against the big boys hes still only 23

Totally agree it is the wrong weight division and has been since his career started.

At Light-Middle he would be a beast and I can't understand why he is not down there really, cant see them going down now so he is what he is.

Ability boxing wise is superb I think, Blackwell is decent British level and BJS won 9 rounds or thereabouts for me. Power wise he may lack that real spite but that for me is again the wrong weight issue.

He picks his shots well and especially early on he is virtually different class. Six round fight against most for me and he wins every time but its not a six round game so he is going to have to come up with more and to be fair to him he seems to know that.

I thought he looked as if the body shots were troubling him from about the 7th or 8th but only he really knows that I guess.

All in all a decent learning fight and he is a great addition to whichever division he fights in.

Really want to see this fight and see what didn't work for BJS last night. Can't catch much boxing at the moment though, in Australia.

I, like most others, have very high hopes for Saunders, the way he puts punches together is fantastic and he has some good movement. Like most others, i've always thought he looks like he could make light middleweight, although as he hasn't done it previously i guess as time goes on it's more and more unlikely he will go down in weight. Think it could be an issue as he moves up levels; some of the top middleweights could be too big for him.

Really want to see him do well. So much talent and when he gets to the stage of being really tested, think he could be in some great fights.

I like billy joe but i think ur right about stepping down in weight the problem is he can be a bit predictable he starts off well throwin quick head and body shots from different angles but from the 4th round everything was to the head and in straight lines and with blackwells high defence that suited him and made billy joe vunerable to hooks to the head and in particular to the body where it seemed to hurt him at times. he doesnt make his southpaw stance awkward enough for fighters but he is still a novice and has alot to learn still (which he admitted)

It wasn't his best performance yet he still won comfortably.

The main thing that disappointed me was that he didn't commit to the body early and head hunted. I feel If he had he would have slowed Blackwell down and maybe got the stoppage.

Blackwell deserves credit too was relentless last night.

Wouldnt say it was comfortable at all, Fight will hold him in good stead though.
