Think i heard him say to Amir in the 2nd round "none of the ****/ cut that **** out" when he was pushing down on Molina
I was a little disappointed in Sky commentary team criticising Reiss for not stopping the fight sooner - I thought he did everything he could to implore Molina's corner to pull him out, Reiss couldn't really wave it off himself that easily as Molina was still throwing back, wasn't getting constantly hurt, but he just wasn't in the fight.
Thought he did very well, heard him at one point say doc get in here and the corner stuff he said before the stoppage about them knowing there man but.... Liked him, he would not be everyones cup of tea mind but he does for me if he were to perform like that each fight. His warnings were fair enough as well Amir did his pushing off a couple of times and he had no desire to go rushing in unless it got excessive some refs would have been in the first time to make a point.
Thought he was excellent. A good no nonsense referee who gave Molina every chance and then talked sense to the corner when it was clear their man was taking a one-sided beating. He clamped down on some early fouls by Khan, who actually apologised at one point. Our refs could learn from him... Actually quite liked his swearing, was funny.
i thought he was great. was shocked to see some people criticising him. really impressed. glad others thought so too
Listening to him he seemed great, gave plenty of opportunities without over pushing his views. Was a great performance
I have not heard anyone criticise him and I though he had a pretty much perfect performance. Can't recall seeing him before but I hope I see him more often as I was very impressed. We need more referee's like Mr Jack Reiss in my opinion.
The best referee I've seen was the bloke who did Marquez vs Diaz I, back in 2009. Not seen him since.
Yeah, I thought he was great. One problem was Molina coming in with his head way down low and Khan pushing down or even hitting down. Reiss warned them both and told Khan something like "You can hold him there, but you can't hit him." A few minutes later it happened again and Khan did exactly that. Reiss said "Well done son, that's what I want to see". I don't remember hearing so much of what the ref is saying in a fighte before. I think it's a great idea.
Great ref, I liked his "strictness" and discipline in the fight, he was not gonna take any ****. If Khan was pushing down like in the Peterson fight, Jack Reiss would have had Khans ass out of there with a DQ! So Khan didnt do it after the ref told him one time. Thats what I like to see! Sly can f*ck of with the criticism! They said something about him after the fight, that we didnt even get to see because of the ****ING ADVERTS BETWEEN ROUNDS, man i ****ing hate that ****, WE WANT TO HEAR THE CORNER LIKE ON HBO. ......They obviously have never seen Ian John Lewis ref a fight before. One of the best referee performances I have seen in a while, another ref I like is Tony Weeks. Firm but fair and speaks in different languages. Who said men cant mutli-task?
