Do you think Jamie Mcdonnell would lose to Santa Cruz?

Santa Cruz would put a horrible beating on Jamie.

Leo looked really flat and sluggish last night, clearly he needs a bit of a break, that was his 3rd title defense in 3 months.

Time to recharge the batteries and look for a unification fight next year.

I agree Santa Cruz is levels above. The non stop activity must have caught up to him last night, he didn't look as sharp as usual.

I know we all like to root for the British fighter, but Sky are so biased it's unreal. McCory said that McDonnell is a lot better than Guevara, but I think that would be a tough fight for McDonnell.

Maybe leo wasnt at his best or maybe credit must go to his opponent for making the fight harder and not letting Leo shine. Leo looks like he likes opponent coming at him and standing and trading or to push opponents back who may not have good boxing skills, guevara did not give him that.

I think McDonnell stands a chance, his jab is certainly better than Guevara`s

I didn't think Santa Cruz showed the same physical prowess that he has done previously. His workrate was high but I thought he was unusually sluggish and his shows didn't seem to be carrying much behind them. All of that is most likely down to over training. It's not the 4 fights in 6 months which is a problem, it's the constant training. He should have a few months away from the gym and then look for a fight in spring.

He's a very good fighter, levels above someone like McDonnell but he needs more rest in between fights, especially with such a physically demanding style.

I think credit must go to Guevara, but my point is that if McDonnell wasn't British, the likes of Glen McCorry wouldn't be giving him a chance if he fought Cruz.

But because he's British they say he has "the right style."

I just don't think Jamie's had enough exposure to the top level.
Sadly,I think a decisive loss is on the cards.

A lot of credit needs to go to Guevera, at 22 the kid has a bright future.

On the other hand, Morel used the same kind of movement against Santa Cruz a few months back and Leo looked awesome, he hunted him down and forced him to trade, he definitely wasn't as sharp as he was in previous fights.

I know what you mean though, Santa Cruz will always have problems with pure boxers who have that toughness and grit in them toi withstand his punishment. :good

Indeed, Sky's commentary last night was awful, Mcrory needs sacking, I liked Jamie Moore though, think he needs more time in the studio.

Santa Cruz ends McDonnell's career; seriously that guy is bad news for any bantamweight.

Yeah like Jamoye the Hard little slugger he got stopped by Santa Cruz cos he dont have much of a defence and gave him what he wanted and easy target. Santa Cruz made Guevara trade too at times.

As for Morel that was that, dont mean the next time hes gonna do the same to boxer with Morels style, if you get em with the right punch yeah they`ll crack depending...

McDonnell puts up a good fight, but Santa Cruz just outworks him, stops him late.

When Sky use the younger guys it is overall a lot better, even when Macklin is on he is a good pundit, I think its a time for change in the guard.
