he had very little experience as an ametuer and still won bronze. he's being moved just right.he's young and just destroyed a good fighter with ease. he was never knocked down he was off balance no punch even landed and everyone that seen the fight knows it. but still the myth continues. wladimir seems to think he's for real. :bbb
Wlad thinks everyone he spars with is forreal,he just told Richard Towers he idolizes him ... and Towers is ****ing awful.
Because he is promoted by an industry giant, has had 26 fights and although he has done what he had to, he is moving at a snail's pace. Throw in the fact that, he isn't actually that good.
Because he has fought NOTHING but low level tomato cans and mediocre journeymen for the past FOUR years. ****, this far into his career, Tyson was destroying ATG Michael Spinks. Wiilder has a GLASS JAW, his handlers know it - which is WHY he fights nothing but stiffs.
The chincheckers hate him for the above reason. Others hate him because they are British, which is akin to hating porn because you have a tiny *****.
Hes being moved slowly, but I expect 2013 to be a big year for him. Eventually HE and his promoters will have to move him up because I cant see how he or them are making much money fighting the level of fighters hes fighting
I saw him the first time. I like him, good size and fast. Wish he could get different trunks though, it makes him look like he is in an Army match. -))
Maybe not the "next" one. But, will he have one or more of the belts at some point down the line? I expect him to do so.
If I only listened to what his promoters said, I would expect this too. Having watched him, he's just a tall guy with a big right hand. Jab? Infrequent and ineffective. Inside game? Unseen. Heart and chin? Untested. Maybe if he fights someone around the top 30, we can see how true a prospect he really is.
I doubt we'll have a definitive champion for some time after Wlad retires, but I think Wilder could pick up a belt in the post-Klitschko era.
Wilder has mostly fought bums and tomato cans because he didn't have much of an amateur career. He's been keeping busy with easy knockouts while learning how to fight. His progress is obviously lagging behind Fury and Price, but he's a lot more athletic than both, and thus people see him with a higher upside. I think he's definitely got potential, but still has a long way to go. No one will truly know just how far he's come until he fights someone in the top 50, which I think is still at least a year away. If he doesn't get exposed before then, of course...
He is over hyped by his fans and therefore needs to be knocked back down to his correct status as nothing more than a prospect with a lot of do to become good. It's like people hating on price, some fans have his as the next HW king when in reality he has fought no body brilliant so the people who dislike him go to extremes. Do I think Wilder will become a world champion? Not without massive improvement, does mine or anyone else here opinions matter or have any effect in the future? **** no.
