Which potential fights featuring no Brits could justify PPV viewing in the UK?

Just wondering what potential or even hypothetical fights (in America) that didn't include a British fighter could justify people in the UK paying £14.99 like the pac v JMM fight last week?

I was speaking to my brother the other day (who has lost touch with boxing a bit, despite being a big fan a few years ago), and was mentioning names such as Donaire etc and got a bit of a blank look in return.

Would a combination of the Donaire V Mares V Rig justify PPV status? Canelo V Floyd? Rios V JMM?

Which fights (ideally realistic) would you expect to do fairly decent PPV numbers?

I'd reluctantly pay for Floyd vs Canelo. I wouldn't be best pleased about it though.

Yeah, that was goes without saying, and still would if it magically still went ahead. we have some very good fighters throughout the divisions

    Wlad
    Ward
    Martinez
    Golovkin
    Canelo
    Trout
    Cotto
    Mayweather
    Bradley
    Rios
    Marthysse
    JMM
    Pac
    Broner
    Donaire
    Rig
    Mares Santa Cruz etc

(all non-brits), and there could be some really interesting fights out there to be made, most that would get us fans excited over, and we might pay for some of those, but not that much for a casual fan to say 'christ - i gotta buy that fight'

Should this go ahead in april, who would likely get the rights in the UK? BN, Sky, Primetime, Sky Box office? Loaded?

Chisora vs Wladimir would proabably get a reasonable amount of buys.

Hard to say,one of the reason Mayweather became so well known was because of Ricky Hatton,American fighters are hardly known in the Uk,thats the truth..

There's plenty that primetime would put on, and unfortunatly will do in the future. The only fight sky would have done PPV for 2 foreign fighters is Mayweather vs Pacquaio, which they might still do if Pac could get a couple of wins before it theoretically happens

Now that (as mentioned) Pacquiao/Lil Floyd has lost its meaning, I can think of only one, and it is almost certainly is (rightly?) not going to happen:

    Wlad/Vitali...

none. ppv is unjustifiable, you've already paid to watch your sports channel, why do you want to pay twice?

Why do you want to pay for your sports channel?

Why do you want to pay for your TV?

The reality is we live in a free enterprise economy, where people are judged on financial success. If it is felt a profit can be made on PPV, it will happen.

I am all for more social responsibility over the need for financial gain, but I am in a minority at the moment.
