Like i said, **** has always been said after the Ali's, Tyson's and De Le Hoya's of the world have been gone. It might be the end of the world for you *******s, but Boxing WILL move on, it always has and it always will.
Even the great boxing commentator Larry Merchant admits that boxing has lost its luster. Like he so eloquently stated last night, boxing has now been relegated to niche sport status. The days when boxing was considered apart of the mainstream are over. Today's boxing viewer cares only about the antics of Pacquiao and Mayweather. Everything else is filler.
boxing now or even in the dlh and tyson heydays is not even half to how big boxing was in the 80's. like i said again, if you're only counting on hardcore fans to keep the boxing going, it's going to eventually fade away.
Nope. It dismantled the bipolar dynamic at the top of the sport between Manny and Floyd. Now there's a proliferation of good fights that can be made between the three of them. Stop crying about Marquez cheating, bigger shoulders don't mean ****. PED's don't give you a superhuman edge in a sport like boxing.
It cannot hurt the sport much. Boxing is set up to handle losses of fighters, that is why we watch to see a guy have a good challenge. If anything it helps the sport to see upsets and knockouts. Makes it exciting.
Mother****er.. You ARE the casual fan. GTFO Other turds will join and craze over another fighter soon enough anyway. ******* phase is ending. That's why you feel concerned
mother****er, i've been following/watching boxing for 30 years that's why i see how important casual fans are if boxing is going to prosper.
You're a ****ing idiot! Listen to you ****ing self. You're pretty much are saying boxing should have fixed it so that Paquiao would'nt lose! You're a ****ing clown and a ****ing loser! A boxing fan for 30 years? atsch You've' still got the mentality and the boxing knowleadge of a casual fan that does'nt know a jab from a hook! :-(
listen juanita...i know that superstars come and go, popularity of a sport has peaks and valleys. tiger woods not doing good is hurting golf, when gretzky faded then retired it hurt hockey....pac losing hurt boxing.
