    We'll have Donaire-Rigo by 2013.

    Donaire-Mares will be made if hell freezes over.

    He wants to fight Mares first because Mares called him out. I guess Rigondeaux should have been doing that for the past year :patsch

    My best guess is that Fossil Bob will attempt to match Donaire-Mijares next, then Donaire-Rigo, and will then push for Nonito to move up to 126.

    Donaire-Mares is one of the 5 best fights that can be made in all of boxing. Maybe 1 of 3. The sport likely won't produce it so I can't call my prediction a "win" if it does come to fruition.

    I agree that Arum's probably thinking something like this. In his eyes there's more build up needed. Maybe a fight early next year with Donaire vs Moreno or Cruz and Mares vs Mijares or Montiel.

    Arum wanted to build Gamboa and Lopez into a ppv event but never came close.

    I think if Top Rank is confident that Donaire can beat Mares they will attempt to make the fight.

    Bob is demanding Golden Boy have nothing to do with the promotion. That realistically takes it off the table immediately.

    That was a 'tit' for the 'tat' of Floyd trying to get TR cut out of a May/Pac fight. Yes, Golden Boy was involved. Floyd wasn't the one putting up $40Mill. What Arum and Schaefer say in public is not the real negotiating stances. It is PR. Donaire had the Arce fight still pending at the time so no real negotiations could even begin.
