I think Khan would win a 116-112/115-113 type decision against Lopez.

This forum is ridiculous for it. Khan obviously has flaws theres no question but he still has attributes that helped him beat a lot of good fighters.

Lopez has the heart and size to make it interesting but as I said previously not only was Ortiz winning but he was fighting a stupid fight, not adapting and had clearly looked past lopez yet was still winning.

Alvarez would destroy any 140lber, u forgot that Khan lost to Prescott who lost to Kevin Mitchell , Khan wouldnt even survive 6 rounds with Ortiz at 147

Alvarez ain't all that ask career lightweight Mosley and Lovemore N'dou who both went the distance (both shot to **** aswell).

Boxing math doesn't work not to mention he was what 20 odd at the time of the Gomez and Prescott fights.

Would definately be interesting. Especially if khans hands go midfight.

Khan never had hand problems before suggesting his new trainer and wrapping might be to blame. Calzaghe and Floyd to a lesser extent had to adapt with their punch output/style with their delicate hands.

Very misleading calling them 'career lightweights' Shane has always been a welter and was cutting **** loads to make 135 back then.

Roach said he's had wrist problems for a while. Maybe connected?

Pretty good fight. Would be a tough one for Khan imo.

Khan by decision. Think he could take Ortiz by decision too, depending on his discipline.

Seems like a pretty logical fight definitely a step up from Molina and someone who will give Khan a fight and possibly test him mentally.

I agree. I don't think Khan would do enough to stop him but it would be a wide decision for him IMO. Lopez is a decent name after his win over Ortiz but like yourself I had him losing in that fight before Ortiz pulled out and I just don't think he's good enough to beat fighters of the calibre of Khan.

Both are shot fighters one was always a gatekeeper and both went the distance. IF Alvarez was as special as some claim him to be he would have stopped them.

I think he has improved since the Prescott fight physically and technically, however he has stagnated and he definitely has huge flaws especially in his defence. He has more than enough to make him the favourite in a fight with Lopez IMO.

However, I saw nothing in the Molina fight to suggest anything other than the same happening in a Garcia rematch. We have to give him time with Hunter, 8 weeks isn't alot especially coming back from two pretty disheartening fights.

Never one to argue with you Flean but how much is Alvarez cutting to make 154?

I think Alvarez is a solid, average sized 160lb'er at this stage.

He shouldn't be cutting to 154, nor dragging welters up to fight him.

That's when it becomes ridiculous, middles fighting welters.

ITs ridiculous we have 17 weight classes to make sure guys are fighting at similar weights but we still have 24hour weigh ins and all these guys jumping weight classes.
