Denis Lebedev vs. Santander Silgado RBR

BTW, Lebedev has no #1 contender (vacant slot in the rankings) for his presumed next defense.

#2 is Pawel Kolodziej of Poland, who last fought in March.

#3 is BJ Flores of the USA, who had an October rust-shaker.

Both are much bigger than Lebedev (Flores by 3", Kolodziej by 5...)

 

They were hot, but never onscreen long enough for me to get a capture of. :|

I think Lebedev vs. Kolodziej could be very interesting due to Pawel's size, agility, and powerful straight right hand.

Flores would be a "safer" defense. His skills have fallen off since a few years ago when he schooled Ding-A-Ling. I mean, he got outboxed for stretches by Danny freaking Green. :!: Lebedev probably starches him now.

 

Round 1

Silgado waves his left glove in a slow tomahawk motion, brushing back Lebedev's right jab. The pattern holds for more than a minute, each one jabbing into the other man's jab. Knuckle to knuckle, very tentative. Lefts to the body by Lebedev. Silgado backs straight up and tries to line up a right hand but it's very slow and veers off path high and wide. Powerful lefts to the body by Lebedev, underhand to the lower body and drilled hard to the chest.
