How do you know he was talking about Roach's disease? Maybe he meant that Roach couldn't talk in the corner because he didn't know what to say to Amir. Plenty of times that Roach was just in the corner giving Khan water but not saying anything to him. Have you just singled this out? What about Angel Garcia's comment about Khan and a flying carpet? That's a lot more offensive, but did not see many people complaining about it. Seems like Khan can't do anything right. Anything him or his family say is under a microscope and deliberately focused on.

Very misleading title. He said the other guys coudnt talk in the corner never mind anywhere else. Which is correct in roachs case. He didnt talk much. He never even told khan to block maidanas uppercuts.

^ Sadly it does sound like he was talking about Roach's Parkinsons there. While what he said is true, (not been impressed with Roach's corner advice lately) that was a very disrespectful and classless thing to say. Poor form, they've left Roach, and they should stop taking little digs at him and worry about themselves. Roach took Khan from the lowest point of his career to a world title and they would do well to remember this.

But people tend to focus too much on the things that Khan says, that are deemed negative or offensive. People single these out, then label him. How would any of you feel being singled out for things you say that become misconstrued by media/people in general, then be labelled the "bad guy"

No I agree with you. I've defended Khan a number of times on this forum, and you are correct that everything Khan says or does is over-analysed. He's the most hated fighter on this forum, BUT in this case, I can't defend his dad, because if that is the actual quote then it's disgraceful for him to say that. It seems as if team Khan have taken a few digs at Roach, and it's poor form. Every now and then him or a member of his team act like complete dickheads. Complete media disaster they are. They should hire me as the PR guy and I would ban him or his team from twitter or interviews. In fact, most of the hangers on can **** right off. Khan would only be allowed to speak if I've prepared a written statement for him. When he wings it, it's always a case of :patsch

If its true it is a sad state of affairs. I like Khan and want him to win but blaming Roach for the Garcia loss was a mistake in my opinion and he should have stayed with Freddie. Amir was to blame for the loss as he was with the Prescott one. His dad should keep his mouth shut, even if this is just something that came out wrong he should be told to keep quiet. im sure somebody will be having a word with him.

Not a nice thing to say. Team Khan do themselves no favours a lot of the time.

The thing is, I respect that Khan has gone out to the US and tried to better himself, even after the Roach affair he has went and got Virgil which is a good move and a bold move. He is also entertaining, is usually in top condition and often fights in the opponents backyard which is commendable. He has shown heart even in losing by devastating KO's and still believes in himself and doesnt let that affect him too much.

It's just a pity he and his team talk so much ****.

That's not what he said in that clip.

You could still infer he was making comment to Roachs illness, but why did you deliberately mis-quote him?

He actually said "Drum it into the guy <the need for Defense). I bet you could hear Virgil on TV shouting instructions. Other guys couldn't do that, other guys couldn't talk in the corner never mind anything else. Virgils got him thinking...."

Actually, I'm inclined to give Khan's old man the benefit of the doubt here.

There were certainly problems in the background, mainly caused by Khan's backers it must be said, over the S & C coaching, who's in charge etc.

I don't think it's helped Roach's work over the past couple of years - there's too much doubt in the whole set up... given that Ariza fancies himself as a boxing trainer these days.

The best relationships between the two parties is when the trainer brings in the conditioner - someone like Kerry Kayes never pretended to be a boxing expert, he just let Billy Graham use his gym and dished out the nutrition advice and assisted with other things.

It's as clear as day that Freddie has slipped massively in the past two years, his mind is still as sharp, perhaps sharper than ever, but his communication isn't there.

Might be time for him to think about taking on a Nacho type role, as a strategist/adviser, let someone else do the grind in the gym and just observe.

Has Roach slipped THAT badly though?

Or has Pacquiao just got old and Khan got put in with a puncher?

I think the digs are because Roach didn't play to there tune. They've took it as a slap in the face. You've got Hunter digging at Roach and Ariza as he coaches Khan it's all pretty nasty to watch IMO.

Also i don't get why people post video's to try deflect attention from the actual point. Rios is a idiot, there's been comments on his idiotic behavior alongside Garcia and Cheato when they mocked Roach so no clue why the need to post a vid mani0.

To the point, haven't heard it yet will watch now but seems pretty crude and tasteless stuff..

    What a scumbag...

I can see where Amir Khan't gets his bad attitude from. Hope he gets rocked next time he steps in the ring.
