and after he said that he turned away and tried to hide his tears. That was really heartbreaking.

What's sad is everyone thinks Cotto is class. It was Trout who showed class before, during and after the fight. Cotto is just a diva now, showing bad sportsmanship after fights he loses. I don't care for the tears, it's boxing. You lose, take it like a man. Don't get all emotional because you've been hyped up and lose to better fighters.

the moment of defeat, he was upset he thought he got it closer but he knew lost. If he did win he knew he would have lost anyway because the judges just didnt see it his way. Did you not see the post fight conference, he said he doesnt make excuses for his losses and gave props to trout. All the hard work in the gym and outside of it, the things you think about before the fight obviosly stresses him to the point where he has to win. It's the heat of the moment, he made it up at the post fight conference anyway and he did take his loss like a man.

Yea. All Cotto thinks about is $. That's why he chose to fight a dangerous, untested, and genuinely unknown Trout instead of some guy named Manny Pacquiao. Cotto definitely only cares about $ because he made a much greater purse against Trout vs the peanuts he would have made against Manny.

I must have missed that. Nicely done by the producers.

But on the bright side, he's been the third biggest draw (?) of the sport and has surely had more than enough solid paydays to call it quits if he wants to. Most fighters could only dream of what he got out of the game. He's done well for himself.

I didn't see the actual fight, but this was great. I felt bad for Cotto and his family, though.
