Did Khan improve, or was molina wayyyy overmatched

You're kidding right?, Molina landed at a 26% connect rate... granted he's not a banger like Garcia and he was way outclassed in there, but credit where credit is due those are promising stats for such a defensively flawed fighter like Khan, especially considering he's only had an 8 week camp with Virgil so far. If he can keep his composure in there against a good puncher (and I admit that's a big if), then he's only going to get better defensively.

 

Bit of both.

Virgil has also stated he will not attempt to change who a fighter is or what they do best naturally, he will only make subtle changes he feels will benefit that fighters' game.

Anyone expecting massive changes to Khan will have a long wait.

 

He was severely over matched & as stated before he got tagged by the same left hook several times, if he fights Danny I expect the same outcome, Khan will look good early but eventually get time and stretched...I don't think he's ready to face any hard punchers and I doubt he will ever be ready, he has a flashy offensive game and decent power in the beginning but his power fades in the mid rounds...Khan should definitely continue to cherry pick if he wants to lengthen his career...

 

Lol.. Khan's skills are **** and his chin is so terrible, no matter how much he improved his skills it wouldn't matter anyways. Enough about this guy, he was always irrelevant.

I counted at least a dozen solid counters from Molina......if he had any power Khan would have been unconcious....not debatable bruh

As others have said, a little bit of both. Khan was a bit more disciplined in using his jab and didn't overextend himself against Molina as much as previous fights, but he still opens up a lot and still has the same flaws on defense. Molina was able to tag him some(especially early on) despite all his disadvantages and had he been a bigger puncher I'm pretty sure he would have gotten Khan in trouble to say the least.

 

Molinas first 12 round fight and he couldn't finish it... Enough said.

 

this i saw Molina landed a few wild left hooks that shouldnt be landin on Khan, also his inside game did look better but hard to tell because it was Molina not Peterson

 

like someone said a little of both. Khan had an open enough guy in front of him and he has fought better guys.
