That's right! Larry Merchant can be a cynical **** all he wants when he can't recognize Sweet Science in front of him, Miguel Titere Vazquez is still a uniquely talented top fighter who boxes on the move as good as anyone out there. The IBF LW champion's big night was the complete toyage of Mercito Gesta the past weekend, but hardcore fans better know him from dismantling undefeated Breidis Prescott and Leonardo Zappavigna, while Mexican fanatics could remember him from his Canelo or Bradley losses.

A boxer with not much pop but very good movement, long range and loose muscles to punch and land from all sorts of angles, Titere represents a rare but busy style which for whatever reason bored the crap out of Merchant & crew, when it was his opponent's inability to dance with the master that made it utterly one-sided. Vazquez actually puts on an intense effort having a high output and connect %, often stopping in his tracks and trading before disappearing and coming back from long range, the thing I most like about him is how he maintains ring IQ superiority and remains calm even when a big puncher catches him. If you're not just here for the blood, he's actually a pretty interesting fighter to watch and the rest of the LW champs would have their hands full with him.

So who's ready to joint the The TITERE VAZQUEZ Exclusive Marionette Club?

Not your PPV fighter, true, but he appeared on the last one as the opponent, only not to play the part.

Exactly. If you'd seen Gesta fight before and could appreciate what Vasquez was doing, why not just watch tough man contests?

They get thrown off when a Mexican chooses to fight in that manner, you know how we get stereotyped as face first brawlers.

But to be honest, I don't care what nationality, creed, or color one is...That is a little too much "running" for my taste. Regardless Gesta didn't have a clue on how to deal with that style and just looked lost. Maybe Gesta should of took note of how Mares dealt with Moreno. :good

Titere did more fighting in one rounds of that fight than Gesta in 12. Don't hate a Sweet Scientiest, hate whoever can't deal with it (Merchant, boxrec warriors, Gesta)

Vazquez ain't a runner he uses incredible lateral movement and if there was such a thing as an Einstein when speaking about ring iq Vazquez would be the poster child. Amazing ability.
