I believe Showtime has better production values or atleast on par with HBO now. Showtime Sport has made very big moves

Agreed. They're not bad, but the gap in production value is definitely a good point.

It's apparent on TV, and apparently even more-so live. When my friends went to AC to see Ward-Froch, they'd hear "let's take a minute to look back at what led up to this finale", and the screen in the arena would just be blank.

Showtime. Hbo has been getting more and more bias over the years. I just hate watching showtime fights on tape delay because I'm on the west coast

HBO. I'd have voted for Showtime but it seems they've made Mauro a part of their regular broadcast team.

    Which is just ****ing unacceptable.

Showtime is cheaper as production. I don't know about the announcing crew.

I don't know about live, but on television they are on par production wise.

HBO for me, although they are really missing Manny Steward.

Can't stand Bernstein, what a cocksmoker.

Anyone remember when they interviewed an MMA fighter on Showtime in the middle of a card in between fights to promote a strikeforce event? That **** pissed me off.

More Gus than Tarver. I loved Steve Albert too. Really miss him. It's not Gus as much as it is how bad Mauro is. I just detest him as a commentator.

Gus had a problem of getting overly excited, but instead of cheer-leading he just exaggerated everytime a fighter was hurt. If someone lost their balance for a fraction of a second it would be Gus screaming out of the top of his lungs "FROCH IS HURT! HE'S BADLY HURT!"

Besides that Gus is an obvious pro when it comes to commentating.

I really agree with this. A big time HBO fight just takes the cake. But HBO is better in small doses. For consistency and a more level-headed approach I might appreciate Showtime for non-PPV, smaller fights.

I like paulie but he's absolute **** at scoring fights. Bernstein usually provides very precise commentary and mauro is doing better than I thought he would, at least.

That being said I think lampley is the best play by play man in the business and Kellerman imo is good at what he does. Merchant was great but slipped a bit he last few years. Manny steward was my favorite in the expert spot, don't really care for rjj tbh.

Also I like Ian darke, Jim watt and the rest of the sky crew.

HBO got too pathetic lately with their cherry picking & bias towards in house fighters I decided cancelling it for good & live stream the big fights on my plasma.Showtime Quality>HBO quantity :good.Kellerman alright but a cornball bias like whole hbo cast even lederman bias .Not a huge lennox fan but he calls it how it is respected him for that they need to get him back.Like Roy jones but he's bias towards certain fighters as well,& don't even get me started & merchant & Lampley.Merchant earned some respect back but Jim is hands down a loyal puppet dislike his nuthugging ass(Like people said he makes calls that aren't even there or exaggerates when his fav fighters are struggling to fool people,he doesn't even try to hide it.Showtime all day.
