ok. i understand your point. but you should've stated it in that manner when explaining the first choice in this poll. you could've specifically cited the pac-jmm2 fight in those terms rather than directly referring to it as a very close fight called "the wrong way" since this phrase could refer directly to the judge's decision and not only to your own though process of the fight.

I agree. To be fair though, the three fights I mentioned have all been recent and fights that have been called robberies, which is a cue that this isn't a thread about Pac and Marquez. But the way its written leaves something to be desired.

    Probably should've been multiple choice.

On the other poll regarding pac vs jmm, there were 40+ people who viewed of it as a robbery but now theres only 2 of them, i guess if put on a general basis people would not say it is a robbery but when put on the basis of pac-jmm then it is a robbery:yep. Now i'm getting confused:blood

    Was what?

    That wasn't a robbery.

Taylor - Hopkins I & II were robberies. (# II is debatable)

    I voted for "obvious robbery."

Recent fight that comes to mind is Kid Diamond vs Huerta.

    If I had to quantify:

#2: 60% of boxing writers think the wrong fighter got the nod.

    #3: 90% " "

I am of the opinion that most objective boxing fans would go with something in between. But similar to a likert scale, the more options I give here the more meaningless the choice becomes if people haven't thought this out before. My goal is to get posters who haven't asked themselves the question thinking, and to take a decision based on the option they feel is closest to their definition of a robbery.

A lot of people think that a close fight cannot be a robbery but I disagree. For example MEsi-Jirov was a close fight, Klitschko-Peter was a close fight (on score cards) but whenever the winner is clear and the general consensus is that he should have won the fight then its a robbery, example Sturm-DLH.

    I agree.

Mesi vs Jirov = close fight

Klit vs Peter = close fight

    DLH vs Sturm = robbery

Kid Diamond vs Huerta = robbery

@acb, hmm... 50% fighter A, 40% fighter B, 10% draw... do you consider that a general consensus? for me, it's just a simple plurality and not even a majority.

    I consider 60% fighter A, 30% fighter B, and 10% draw a general consensus.

And, its rare in my book to get a 10% draw, or at least I don't remember it too many times from the boxing press.
