The jabs thrown by both fighters alone make this fight a must see.

One of the greatest fights ever in terms of drama, ebb and flow the skill level is immense two great fighters in their absolute prime going all out. I wonder if you can see how the skill level today has eroded. That is how greats would go at it back in the day compare that to the lukewarm action of the forgotten 1st fight of PBF Vs DLH. Years from now no one will be commenting on that farce with any feelings of nostalgia I bet .

Each time I watch the fight I see something different.

Tonight I was amazed at the size of these two 147lb fighters. Hearns was a given but Leonard had a huge frame for the weight and he was a prime specimen. I was also watching the body shots landed by Hearns tonight. Very accurate and hard, Leonard was a tough SOB.

I'd be surprised if a true boxing fan has never seen it.

    It's one of the essentials.

Yep, the only negative thing is that I recorded it a few years back when ESPN was running a week of Classic fights (leading up to their first PPV card with Mosely, Margo, and Cintron), and there are commercials and some rounds cut out.
