khan only fighting twice next year, should he fight the 2 best 140lb fighters

If they connect then generally and simplistically speaking thats what is supposed to happen

Garcia,Peterson,Matthysse or Marquez are the only fights he should go for but i think he only beats Peterson all the rest knock him out

 

I think Petersen will knock him out this time.

 

Khan should have a fight in May/June, just so he and Virgil can really get some good, quality work in.

I'd have him face two opponents similar to his last opponent just to get his confidence back up, prolong his career and just to give his faculties a rest.

 

Could happen, Peterson wont try to box this time at the beginnin he would just rush in and stay on the inside like the second half of their last fight

 

Anyone else sick and tired of fighters (especially ones who need to regain credibility) only fighting twice a year? I know it's not 1958 anymore but imposing a limit of two bouts a year seems rather restrictive.

 

Agreed and it means that their legacies as fighters usually suffer as well Khan should be having at least three if not FOUR fights in 2013 two against decent fighters early 2013 and two against elite fighters later in 2013 and that way he could rebound perfectly.

But logic will likely fail and he'll probably end up making a huge mistake that costs him his career.

 

Just read that he plans 2 fight 3 times next year on 3 fight showtime deal???

 

I don't see the point in fighting too many more Molina's, it doesn't achieve anything financially or for credibility..so yeah...I'd say a Josesito Lopez is the absolute minimum standard for him to be looking at.

Thats not a bad fight, if he can get through that it makes the Garcia rematch a little credible.
