Seven year age difference. Was Lucas ko'ing the top man in his division at 23. As it is, it's not a given that Lucas is better, even now.

And who's to say anyone "doesn't get ktfo and end up like PAC???"

Yes, he is. That's wjy I mentioned chopping guys down. I felt terrible for Ajose, who may never be the same

The things he does in the ring are uncanny. Guys like Rios, Alvarado, Garcia, are good exciting fighters. Mathysse is an elite fighter.

Matthysse hasn't been in with anything more than B- level competition. All this debating means nothing until he steps up in competition.

He's fought top fighters. What does he have to step up to? He'd have to unify the titles in order to fight the best fighters. No one is calling him out. It's pretty bad when the challengers don't want to fight the champion.

    He's definitely better than Maidana.

A fight between the two Argies would blow my balls off!

I'm not a playa hater i'm realistic. I don't think Matthysse is a bad fighter. I think he shouldn't be rated higher than Garcia, Khan, and Rios yet.

If he knocked out Rios yeah he should. He should be rated higher.

If you're going to be honest and instead of saying ''Matthysse will beat anybody, he's an invincible machine''. That's what a lot of nuthuggers sound like when they just favor one fighter over everyone else and don't give anyone a chance.

I'm not going to be nasty but most of the guys he fought from argentina aren't better than the amatuers at my local boxing club. I'm not joking either. I don't know why a lot of them are professionals because they make a lot of amatuer mistakes. The competition he fought early on isn't very good. You could get a 60-O record fighting the guys Matthysse fought in his career. That isn't an insult to Matthysse but a lot of them shouldn't have been in the ring with him to begin with.

Adrien Broner has more boxing skills than Matthysse. That might sound harsh to you but it's true.

Alexander is his best win. Are you calling him A class?

Matthysse offensively and especially his body work is very good but he does a lot of things wrong. I'm not being nasty but he's slow and a boxer mover would toy with him.

I think Ajose Olusegun has a low hands style and poor defensive qualities. I have seen this guy fight in person live from the front at the M.E.N. Arena and he actually looked fairly decent that night but he never really adopted a good defence or footwork. He just swung wildly and never timed his punches properly.

Zab Judah against Ajose would be a good fight and Zab is a better boxer than him. If you can't see that even Zab in his current state isn't a better boxer than him then you should stop trying understand the fundamentals of the sport.

Anyone who has over 80k posts is an armchair fan and has properly never been taught real boxing from a gym. A kid from my area named Aaron Bird would school Ajose Olusegun. He would win every round to a UD. I'm not being biased either but he's that good. He's going to be a big star in the future.

Matthyse v Maidana would be a hell of a fight...

Matthyse is way overhyped though. Having him as best in the division with his record is staggering. Yes he was robbed against Alexander, but the Judah fight was close.

Matthysse is what boxing needs right now , period. Exciting boxer-puncher with tremendous power and balls. He has also some good boxing skills imo.
He'd beat the **** out of these overrated hypes: Broner , Rios , Khan , Garcia , Peterson and Bradley.

Too bad that he's an avoided fighter.:-(

No offence but that video is sped up and doesn't do him any justice. Ajose has no defense and doesn't have an effective jab. He's a wild lunging puncher.

The guys hes fighting in that video don't have good defense. Ajose has poor defense and is not that great of a boxer. I hate to break that to you. He's the perfect guy at 140 to look good against. And americans would think this guy is an unknown oddity and is really good. He's a decent boxer but he's nothing of a challenge to the top fighters in boxing.

Adrien Broner would school him. Broner is going to be the complete package.

Did u see Broner vs Ponce de Leon fight ?

I tell u that a "hype" is a well matched fighter against less dangerous opponents to look good.
Broner has skills indeed but his resume don't indicate that he's a world top beater.

p.s De Leon won that fight against Broner !
