Povetkin fought Byrd in his 14th fight, Solis fought Barrett in his 15th fight, Helenius fought Brewster in his 11th and Peter in his 15th fight

if those guys could do it, why shouldn't Szpilka? if he's to be a decent name in the post-Klitschko era, then he should keep stepping up all the time, not fight cans to stay busy, like Arreola or Boytsov, fighting a semi-retired Mollo, who's biggest achievement is KO'ing McBride and avoid getting KO'd by Golota, isn't going to do him any favours

Povetkin was 26 when he turned pro and the most decorated SHW amateur in the modern era. Solis a close second probably and was 27, Helenius fought at Euro and World's and age 24, Pulev over a decade of world experience and 28.

Szpilka is 22 and doesn't have the vast world level amateur experience. Even without that he's on a faster pace than Price, Wilder, Fury, Mago who are older with more amateur experience. You seem to have ridiculously high expectations, he isn't Kostya Tszyu ready to win a world title in his 13th pro bout, not many are. Everything considered Artur is being brought along unusually fast, truth is most the HW prospects of this current era are, just enjoy it.

:huh:huh:huhIm beginning to like this Szpilka kid. Theres no sense in sending him into get murdered against Arreola at this point.

Let the kid test himself first. Mollo is a decent opponent, but he shoulda took a tuneup first and gotten himself acclimated back to the ring. I would prefer to see how Szpilka would fare with Byarm or maybe a solid journeyman like Ahunanya.:good

I'm not saying he should fight for a world title right now, just that fighting semi-retired fighters like Mollo isn't going to give him anything

I side with the 'take it easy' guys. I'm in two minds about Szplika - personally, I think, he's a douchebag, and I'd kind of like to see him KO'd big time. But then again, he's becoming to prove himself as a serious prospect. From his perspective, he needs to crank up some more experience and box a couple more rounds at a serious level before he tries to get anywhere near the likes of Arreola.

he also needs to shut his trap and train hard, instead of calling out Adamek and naming himself 'the best Polish HW' in every interview he gives

If you mean robbery in favor of Hamer, that isn't likely. LDB isn't promoting the Adamek vs. Cunningham II card. Main Events is. (and Glazkov is their boy, I believe)

Does this mean Szpilka will first face Mollo and then Zimnoch ?

Povetkin and Solis scored Olympic gold medals in 2004 Olympics,
Helenius started amateur career in 2000 ending with 140+ fights
...compare this to Szpilka experience:

... in 2007 Szpilka, a fan of the soccer team Wisła Kraków, was spotted as
a potential boxing talent by a boxing coach when fighting with fans of the Cracovia
football club

since then he spent like 1.5 year in jail instead training and sparing

..... so are you plain moron or just a regular nuthugger comparing Pvetkin, Solis
or even Hellenius with Szpilka at the same stage of their professional careers?

I think Szpilka needs at least one more year, somethings like 3-4 fights at the mid level
(say top 20 - top 50 boxers) and getting more experience before he step up and fight
someone from top 10 ... then he will be around 1-2 fights from the title shot.
I would say he may get his shot with 18-0 record based on his elevated attitude.

Soon or later Szpilka will lose because of his footwork. But Mollo is done. Against Arreola he wouldn't last 5 rounds against Arreola. Stiff boxer.
