If you stand outside your local JD Sports for 5 minutes and watch the sort of people that go in, I reckon you could answer this question yourself.

because he was 17 and in the olympics he is probably one of britains biggest sporting names, if you asked pretty much any non boxing fan they probably wont no kell brook or tony bellew or nathan cleverly but they would no amir khan ... shame really cos i think hes a twat!

    Khan has crossover appeal.

He is a popular guy and even though people on here say the opposite, he is nice person. He is charitable, does lots of work in his local community and comes across well in the media.

well the peterson loss is generally not considered a loss after the steroids scandal. frank brunos losses never effected his commercial appeal

It's a knockout! If anything they enhanced his celebrity status.

I know what he meant, Widdy. I was just being facetious.

Because he's for some reason the most recognisable face in British boxing.

Despite been a overhyped, overrated chump. It's sad that the media have bulled up this goof to such a degree that all the uneducated sheeple think Amir Khan't is a great boxer. He's decent at best and it's a shame that he gets the sort of media attention more talented guys like Brook, Froch and Fury deserve.

Froch should be the face of British boxing. Not Amir Khan't yet for some reason Khan't is the medias golden goose. The poster boy they love to collectively fap over.
