Let's take a look at the genetic influence on SMW from the guys with Irish, Walish, English, etc. genes.

    Andre Ward - half Irish.
Joe Calzaghe - half from Wales.
    Mikkel Kessler - half English.
    Carl Froch - English.

Considering how small an area England/Ireland/Wales etc. is, isn't it impressive how many fighters with genes from there are making it big in SMW?

Ehhhmmm.............half the western world has some kind of English blood in them of some variety. I myself have some Irish in my ancestry, doesn't mean I'm Irish.

You're much better off naming people who are really representational, like Calzaghe, Benn, Eubank, Collins........

Add Reid and Wharton to that list over the past couple decades.

you may have hit on something interesting though. The best British heavyweights as a general rule are probably the likes of Bob Fitzsimmons, Jem Mace, Tom Cribb etc mostly super middleweights.
